<br />SECTION .5 <br /> <br />03? <br /> <br />Council Bhall direct such investigation of said application as it ~y deem necessar.y <br />and the applicant shall permit representatives of any Village Department to inspect and <br />examine place of business described in the application together with all the appliances <br />and instruments used or to be used in the transaction of business for which. a license <br />is sought and upon receipt of such report, the Council shall thereafter consider the <br />application and. grant or d.eny the same. <br /> <br />SlIlCTION 6 <br /> <br />All foodstuffs that are easily contaminated, such as bakery goods, confectionery, <br />dried fruits, meat products or other foods subject to contamination by flies, dust or <br />dirt, shall not be displayed for sale either inside or outside of the place of business <br />unless effectively protected from flies, dust, dirt and. all other contamination by <br />suitable coverings of glass, 'Wood or metal. <br /> <br />SECTION? <br /> <br />In all places conducted as meat markets and in all buildings or places where fresh, <br />fro~en or uncooked meat. poultry, fish and seafood.s are sold, there shall be a properly <br />constructed refrigerator, properly insulated. so as to maintain a temperature of 40 degrees <br />above zero Fahrenheit or lower, and such counters. meat blocks, scales. meat choppers <br />and such other equipment as is required to hand.le mea.t, fish and poultry in a ss.1'.l.i tary <br />manner. <br /> <br />SECTION 8 <br /> <br />, <br />The health officer shall inspect or cause to be inspected all places within the <br />Village at which food.stuffs are offered for sale for the purpose of determinlng whether <br />such places are equipped and operated in a proper manner for the sale of such goods and <br />he Shall have authority to take samples of food.stuffs from any place where it 1s stored <br />or offered for sale within the Village, and if he shall find. that unwholesome fOQd.stuffs <br />a.re being offered. for sale or that the place of business is not conducted 1n:'s. sanitary <br />or wholesome manner, he shall so report to the Vill~e Council and. with said Council <br />may thereupon revoke the license. <br /> <br />SECTION 9 <br /> <br />Licenses herein provided for shall expire on July first of the year following the <br />date of issuance. <br /> <br />SECTION 10 <br /> <br />\, <br /> <br />M1y person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis- <br />demeanor pmishable by a fine not to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment not to exceed <br />90 days. <br /> <br />SJIlCTION 11 <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be in force and take effect <br /> <br />fr~, and after November 1, 1948. <br /> <br />))~(2r~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> <br />~..<1A!.tvf.~~ ~ ~> <br />o erk <br />
