Council Bhall direct such investigation of said application as it ~y deem necessar.y and the applicant shall permit representatives of any Village Department to inspect and examine place of business described in the application together with all the appliances and instruments used or to be used in the transaction of business for which. a license is sought and upon receipt of such report, the Council shall thereafter consider the application and. grant or d.eny the same. SlIlCTION 6 All foodstuffs that are easily contaminated, such as bakery goods, confectionery, dried fruits, meat products or other foods subject to contamination by flies, dust or dirt, shall not be displayed for sale either inside or outside of the place of business unless effectively protected from flies, dust, dirt and. all other contamination by suitable coverings of glass, 'Wood or metal. SECTION? In all places conducted as meat markets and in all buildings or places where fresh, fro~en or uncooked meat. poultry, fish and seafood.s are sold, there shall be a properly constructed refrigerator, properly insulated. so as to maintain a temperature of 40 degrees above zero Fahrenheit or lower, and such counters. meat blocks, scales. meat choppers and such other equipment as is required to hand.le mea.t, fish and poultry in a ss.1'.l.i tary manner. SECTION 8 , The health officer shall inspect or cause to be inspected all places within the Village at which food.stuffs are offered for sale for the purpose of determinlng whether such places are equipped and operated in a proper manner for the sale of such goods and he Shall have authority to take samples of food.stuffs from any place where it 1s stored or offered for sale within the Village, and if he shall find. that unwholesome fOQd.stuffs a.re being offered. for sale or that the place of business is not conducted 1n:'s. sanitary or wholesome manner, he shall so report to the Vill~e Council and. with said Council may thereupon revoke the license. SECTION 9 Licenses herein provided for shall expire on July first of the year following the date of issuance. SECTION 10 \, M1y person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis- demeanor pmishable by a fine not to exceed $100.00 or by imprisonment not to exceed 90 days.
