<br />116 <br /> <br />and qualified. Vacancies during the term shall be filled by the council for the <br />unexpired term. Every appointed member shari, before entering upon the discharge <br />of his duties, take an oath that he will faithfully discharge the duties of his <br />office. All members shall serve without compensation. The Board shall elect a <br />chairman from among its appointed members for the term of one year and the board <br />may create and fill such other offices as it may determine. It shall hold meetings <br />upon t he call of the chairman or any two members, and four members shall be neces- <br />sary for a quorum. <br /> <br />( e-2 ) Upon the filing of any petition described in Paragraph e, said <br />petition shall be referred to the Board of Zoning for its consideration, and <br />report. Board of Zoning shall hold a public hearing thereon prior to the time <br />set for consideration of said petition by the council, and shall notify, in <br />such manner as the Board of Zoning shall designate, the petitioner or petitioners <br />and all known owners of property wi thin two hundred fifty feet of the property <br />described in the petition, of the time and place of said hearing. The Board of <br />Zoning shall thereafter transmit to the Village Council in writing its recommenda- <br />tions together with the reasons therefor for consideration by the council, said <br />recommendations to be submitted prior to the hearing reqlured by Paragraph e <br />hereof. Failure of Board of Zoning to submit'its recommendations as required <br />herein Bhall not in any way affect the vR.lidi ty of the action taken by the council <br />under the provisions of ,aragraph e of this section. <br /> <br />SEXJTION 3 <br /> <br />This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its <br />pas sage. <br /> <br />Passed by the Council this 21st day of April, 1953. ) <br /> <br />George s.
