}33 ORDINANCE NO. 163 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION, REPAffi OR SERVICE TO GAS BURNERS, GAS BURNER EQUIPMENT AND TO PORTABLE OR DOMESTIC INCINERATORS INSTALLED IN CONNECTION WITH GAS SPACE HEATING DEVICES' AND VENTED' INTO THE SAME CHIMNEY FLU; ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF GAS INSPECTOR; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. ARTICLE I SECTION I - 1 GENERAL No Person, firm, corporation or agent shall hereafter install, alter, repair or service gas burners or gas burner equipment within the-Village of Rosevi1le, Minnesota, without conforming to the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 1 - 2 Licenses Required No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of installing, altering, repairing or servicL~g of gas burners witho~t first securihg a Master Gas Installers license from the Village of Rosevil1e permitting him to engage in such business. The requirements contained herein shall not be construed to limit the right of the gas utility and its authorized employees to render necessary service in the event of an emergency. SECTION 1 - 2.1 The fee for such license shall be fixed at $35.00 per annum, and each license shall terminate on July 1 of each year. SECTION I - 2.2 No Master Gas Installers license issued under the terms of this ordinance shall become effective until a licensee shall have filed with the Village Clerk a surety bond in the sum of $5,000.00 in favor of the Village conditioned that the Village will be saved harmless from any loss or damage by reaeon of work performed under this ordinance or by reason of improper or inadequate performance of the terms of this ordinance by the holder of the" license. Such bond shall be approved as to form, execution, and surety by the Village Clerk. SECTION 1 - 2.3 Any person, firm or corporation holding a Master Gas Installers license shall file with the Village Clerk policies of public liability and property damage ~ich shall remain and he in force and effect dt:ring the entire term of said" license a1 (1 . which shall contain a provision t.hat they shall not be cancelled without ten days' written notice to the Village. Public liability insurance shall not be less than $25,000.00 for injuries, including accidental death to anyone person and, subject to the same limit for ~acb person, in an amount of not less than $50,000.00 on account of anyone accident, and proper.ty damage insurance in the amolmt of not less than $25,000.00. No work shall be done under any license until said msurance policies shall have been filed and approved by the Village Clerk.
