<br />134 <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - 3 PERMITS <br /> <br />A permit will be required to begin the installation, alt.'9ration or repair <br />(except such minor repair not involving t.he removal of the burner from its <br />application) of any gas burner or gas burner equipment. Fee for such permit <br />shall be $4.00 for each installation involving a BTU gas input of .400,000 BTU <br />or less, and a fee of $4.00 plus $1.00 for each ,ijOO,ooo BTU of gas input capacity <br />for installations larger than '400,000 BTU of gas input. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - 3.1 <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Master Gas Installer to keep such permits on <br />the premises where work is to be done until the work has been completed, <br />tested and approved by the Gas Inspector. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - 4 EXAMINATIONS <br /> <br />The Council of the Village of Roseville may require examinat.ion of appli- <br />cant.s for gas installers' licenses, if they deem it necessary, and said council <br />may accept a certificate of competency issued to applicant.s by the Bureau of <br />Public Buildings of the City of Sdnt Paul, Minnesota, in lieu of such an <br />examination. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - 5 GAS INSPECTOR <br /> <br />There is hereby creatAd the position of Gas Inspector who shall be appointed <br />by the Council. The person appointed to this position shall be a competent <br />gas burner and gas burner equipment installer who shall ha,ve had at. least two <br />years experience as a gas burner installer and shB.1l be well versed in the <br />approved methods of gas burner and equipment installation. Said Gas Inspector <br />shall receive as compensation for his services such fees as the COlmCn by <br />resolution shall provide, and he shall not engage in the business of the installa- <br />tion and maintenance of gae burners or gas burning equipment either directly or <br />indirectly in this Village and he shall have no flnanciBl interest in any concern <br />engaged in such business in this Village. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Gas Inspector to enforce the provisions of <br />this ordinance. All work covered by this ordinance hereafter performed shall be <br />inspected and if not found to be in accordance wit.h the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be corrected. If after written notice to the person performing <br />such work, such person neglects or refuses to conform to any order contained <br />therein, the Village or the Village Gas Inspector may remove such work and <br />charge the cost thereof to the person installing the_same. No gas burner, <br />gas burning equipment or incinerator as defined bY this ordinance shall be <br />operated without having been duly inspected and approved by the Gas Inspector <br />and no person shall refuse to correct work when so ordered by the Village Gas <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />Said Gas Inspector shall have the right during reasonable hours to enter <br />any building in the discharge of his duties or for"the purpose of making, any <br />inspection or test under the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - 6 PENALTIES <br /> <br />Any person who shall violate any provision of this ordinance shall, on <br />conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding One Hundred and 00/100 <br />($100.00) Dollars or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days and his <br />license granted under this ordinance may in such case be revoked by thA Council <br />of the Village of Roseville. . <br />
