<br />163 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 171 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE BUSINESS OF THE INSTALLATION AND <br />MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRIC WIRING, ELECTRICAL DEVICES AND ELECTRICAL MATERIAL <br />AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage in <br />the business of installing and/or maintaining electric wiring, electrical devices <br />and electrical material within the limits of the Village of Roseville without <br />first having obtained a license so to do as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />Any person, firm or corporation desiring to engage in said business <br />within the Village of Roseville shall make application in writing to the Village <br />Council b,y filing said application with the Village Clerk. The folloWing <br />information shall be set forth in the application: <br /> <br />A. The name and place of residence of the applicant. <br /> <br />B. The exact location of the previsRs at which the applicant proposes <br />to carry on said business, <br /> <br />C. Whether the applicant has ever been engaged in said business and <br />if so, where and when. <br /> <br />D. The date upon which the applicant was licensed by the State of <br />Minnesota as a master electrician. <br /> <br />E. If the applicant is a firm or corporation, the name and place of <br />residence of the master electrician in charge of its work and the <br />date upon which said master electrician was licensed by the State <br />of Minnesota. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />The applicant shall deposit with the Village Clerk at the time of the <br />filing of his application the sum of $35.00 which sum is hereby set as the license <br />fee to engage in said business and the Village Clerk shall thereupon deliver to <br />such applicant a duplicate receipt thereof containing a statement of the purpose <br />for which such deposit was made and one of said receipts shall be attached to <br />and filed with said application. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />The Council shall direct such investigation of said application as it <br />may deem necessary to determine whether said applicant is qualified to engage in <br />said business and shall thereafter consider the application and grant or deny <br />the same, provided that no license shall be granted to any person who has not <br />been licensed as a master electrician by the State of Minnesota or to any firm or <br />corporation who does not have and maintain in its employ a master electrician in <br />charge of its work. <br />
