<br />OTIDDL\NCE No. 189 <br /> <br />18Q <br /> <br />An ordinance <br />FOR THE PI ATTING AnD DEVEI'oPHENT OF PROPERTY AND FOR 'rHE OPENING <br />AND COlJSTPUCTICN OF STPEETS IN EXISTING PLATS IN RO.'JE1JILLE VII,LAGE <br /> <br />The Vill2.L}.: Council of the Village of Roseville do Ordain: <br />SECTION 1 <br />CONFOTIHANCE 1;JITH EXISTING RULES <br />Pursuant to the authority of the Village Council to regulat.e, control and <br />maintain Village streets as provided in Hinnesota statutes, Chapt.h7l <br />and Ninnesota Statutes, Chapt. )~29, and Villace Ordinances, these rules <br />an,: rngulations are established. <br />In ost2.blishing these regulations, it is expressly understood that the <br />VillaGe Council has no intention of superceding or deleting any of tho <br />existing rules, laws or regulations now in effect in this State or County, <br />relative to t.he plattinc or subdividing of property except Ordinances as <br />hereinafter provided. <br />The regulations sot. forth herein are to be considered as additional safe- <br />f':uards made necessary through the rapid growth and expansion in this Village. <br /> <br />SECTION" 2 <br /> <br />COUTCUR Ill\, PS <br />Each and every tentative design of a proposed plat submitted to the VillaGe <br />Council for approval must be accompanied by a contour map of the area ''lhich <br />is proposed to be, platted. The contour lines on this map shell] be accurately <br />drawn at intervals not to exceed 2 feet. The contour map shall show the <br />fOllovr~nG j nformation clearly and accurately; the location 0 f any natural <br />watenrays or ditches on or through the property ''lith the direction of flou, <br />location of individual trees or tree lines, locoUon af all buildings, the <br />location, dcscr-1lIDHon and invert olevations of all culverts on the property <br />or used in the roadvrays or ditches adjacent to the property for the purpose <br />of carrying Hater to or from the area, a bench mark based on sea level <br />datum a~~ used by Ramsey County. This map should also ShOlT the proposed <br />drainage of the area' or the land to be reserved for 1-rater storage, if nec- <br /> <br />essary. <br /> <br />SECT:TION 3 <br />ACCEPTANCE OF PRELHIINARY DESIGN <br />The VillaGe Council shall, in a reasonable length of time, approve or <br />reject the preliminary maps and proposals of thL developer. This approval, <br />when given by the Village Council.. shall definitely b~ for the general <br />lay-out and locaticn of lot lines and streets. This prelimina:by approval <br />will, under no circumstances, commit or:be construed as committinG the <br />Village Council to the approvaJ of street or drainage plans. <br /> <br />-"""', <br /> <br />SECTION u <br /> <br />VILLAGE TO DESIGN S'enEETS <br />.After the approval by the Village Council of tIle preliminary pl;,~t, in the <br />case of nevI plats and before any street is graded in an existing plat, <br />the ovrner or developer shall apply to the Clerk of the Villa-'.c Council <br />for the establishment of street grades in. the proposed subdivision. This <br />application shall be accompclDied by a cash deposit amounting to $500.00 <br />for each mile of street shoi'm cn the proposed plat. This milea(t,e shall <br />include any and all border line or so-called half streets. Str'Jets or <br />roads already in existence which have been accepted and approved shall <br />not be included in this mileage nor shall any state highvTaY or county road <br />by included.
