<br />The Villa.ge Council of Roseville, do Ordain as follows:
<br />
<br />SECTION UNE
<br />
<br />1-1 The following provisions shall constitute and be known as the !'Building Code".
<br />
<br />1-2 Ordinances Nos. 100,117,142,155,163, and amendments thereto, and Ordinance
<br />Nos. 129,145,171,174,182,183 and 184 are hereby repeated, provided, however,
<br />that permits heretofore issued for construction already undertaken but not
<br />completed shall remain in full force and effect.
<br />
<br />1-3 The term "municipality" as used in t:,is Code shall mean The Village of
<br />Roseville, and the term "governing body" shall inean the Village Council
<br />of Ros eville .
<br />
<br />1-4 The governing body shall appoint a building inspector.
<br />1-5 The building inspector may be removed at the pleasure of the governing body.
<br />
<br />1-6 To be eligible for appointment, the candidate for the position of building
<br />inspector shall have had experience as an architect, structural engineer,
<br />building inspect~r or superintendent of building construction for at least
<br />two years prililrx.to such appointment. He shall be in good health, physically
<br />capable of making the necessary examinations and inspections of work re-
<br />quired by this code.
<br />
<br />1-7 The building inspector shall devote as much time as is necessary for the
<br />proper performance of his official duties. He shall receive applications
<br />required by this code, issue permits and supervise or perform all office
<br />incidental to his position. He shall examine premises for which permits
<br />have been requested prior to the issuance of such perIni t and shall satisfy
<br />himself that the said premises can be used for the purpose for llThich a
<br />permit is requested in accordance with all of the provisions of this code,
<br />the zoning ordinance and a.n other -rules, regulations or ordinances. He
<br />
