2 ..., , 'l ,~1 ORDINAN~ NO. 194 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION TO PLAN FOR THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE VILL.A.GE AND TO RECOMMEND A ZONING PLAN. The Village Council of the Village of Roseville does ordain: SECTION 1. ESTABLISHllENT OF COMMISSION. ~/ 1 Village planning Commission for the Village of Roseville, Minnesota is hereby established. SECTION 2'. COMPOSITION Such Planning Commission shall consist of nine members. Seven members shall be appointed b~ the Village Council and may be removed by a four-fifths vote of the council. The illage Engineer and the Village Atoorney shall be members ex- officio. One of the seven members appointed by the Council may be a member of said Council. SECTION 3. mOINTlIENTS Of the members of Commission first appointed, two shall be appointed for the term of one year, two for the term of two years, two for the term of three years, an. db! for the term of four years. Their successors shall be appointed for termsl~f our years. Both original and successive appointees shall hold their offic 5 until their successors are appointed and qualified. The terms of ex-offici. members shallcorrespond to their respective official tenures. Vacancies during the term shall be filled bj the Council for the enexpired portion of the term. Every appointed member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his duties, take an oath that he will faithfully discharge the duties of his office. All members, except the secretary of this commission, shall serve without compensation. SECTION 4. ORGANIZATION The Village Council shall appoint one of the members to act as chariman of the Planning "'ommission and the Village Council shall appoint a member of the Commission to be the Planning Commission's Secretary. The terms of office for these two officials shall be one year and they shall be either reappointed or replaced by the Village Council at the first regular Council meeting of each calender year. The Planning Commission may el-ect what other officers m~ be necessar,y and may give the chairman authority to appoint committees if such appointments might become necessary. SECTION 5 SECRETARY TO BE PAmD The Secretary of this Planning Commission shall be paid an annual salary of not to exceed $600.00. The money required for the payment of this salary shall be appropriated by the Village Council. The duties of the Commission's Secretary shall be established by the Planning Commission. ..
