<br />3!'O <br /> <br />The first two House Sewer Contractors to serve on the Board of <br />Examiners shall be examined by the other three members of the <br />Board and after examination as herein provided, be granted a <br />license and upon qualification shall serve on the Board until <br />Jun~ 30, 1958. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> <br />The Chairman of the Board shall be empowered to call a meeting <br />of the Board whenever, in his opinion, there is sufficient <br />number of applicants for examination. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep a record of the <br />acts and poceedings of the Board. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. <br /> <br />The said Board shall examine the applicant as to his practical <br />knowledge of the work incidental to the construction of house <br />sewer connections and if satisfied as to the competency of such <br />applicant, the Board may reconurlend to the Village Council that <br />a license be issued. Thereafter the Village Council, after <br />considering the recommendation of said Board, shall have the <br />right to approve or reject said application. If the Village <br />Council approves the application, a license shall be issued, but <br />only after the execution and filing of the bond required and the <br />payment of the fee hereinafter provided. The license issued to <br />said applicant shall authorize him to engage in the business of <br />house sewer contracting; provided, howeyer, that a.ny- duly licensed <br />master plumber who has carried on this trade as master plumber for <br />a period of three years, may upon application to the Village Council, <br />without examination, be granted a license upon the payment of the <br />regular license fee and the execution and filing of the required bond. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. <br /> <br />Any person who is a citizen of the United States of America who <br />has had at least three (3) years experience in responsible charg~ <br />of minor sewer work~ involving a knowledge of trenching, bracing, <br />tunnel work, pipe laying in public streets and all other matters <br />pertaining to and incidental to such sewer work, are eligible to <br />receive a license, after having passed examination by the Board <br />of Examiners. An annual fee of $12.00 shall be paid at time of <br />receiving license. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. <br /> <br />A house sewer contractor before he shall be allowed to engage in <br />business shall give a surety to the Village of Roseville in the <br />sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to be approved by the <br />Village Attorney as to fo~, and by the Village Clerk as to <br />
