GENERAL WELFARE <br />BY PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION OF CURB CUTS FOR ' <br />DRIVEWAYS' AND ACCESS TO A PUBLIC STREET OR RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY .... <br /> <br />The Village of Roseville ordains: <br />SECTION I; <br />PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> <br />The purpose of this ordinance is to control the location of <br />curb cut~ and driveways in order that traffic hazards be reduced, <br />adequate street drainage be maintained and that ingress and egress <br />from properties shall not constitute a hazard or impair the health, <br />safety o~ public welfare of the residents of the Village of Rose viI Ie. <br /> <br />SECTION II. <br /> <br />PERMIT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />. -. . . <br />2.1 No driveway shall De constructed-at any location where <br />motor vehicles will be provided with access to any public right-of- <br />way without first obtaining a permit for said construction from the <br />Village Engineer, who shall require a grade to establish the drive- <br />way. Issuance of permit shall be based upon oompl1anoe with the <br />following speoifications. <br /> <br />2.2 APPLICATION. Any person desiring said permit shall <br />present a wr1ttenapp11cation to the Village Engineer desoribing <br />the improvements to be made and plans which indicate that the <br />requirements of this Ordinance will be met. <br /> <br />2.3 PERMIT FEES. A fee of $2.00 shall be made for each <br />permit for a driveway. Where two or more driveways are to be main- <br />tained on a parcel of land the fee shall be increased to five ($5.00) <br />dollars. The fee shall be waived for new single family or two family <br />residences if application for driveway permit is made at the time of <br />application for a building permit. <br /> <br />2.4 PERMIT REVOCATION. The permit issued may be revoked by <br />the Village Engin~eratanytime after its issuance for failure to <br />comply with the conditions of the permit or the directions of the <br />Village Engineer respeoting the work. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />SECTION III. <br />GENERAL BE QP'IREMENT S <br />3.1 All work donewlthln the right-or-way of the street shall <br />
