<br />be done by a regular licensed contractor under the supervls10n of <br />the Village Engineer who will see that all regulations are rigidly <br />followed. <br /> <br />3.2 These requirements apply to all work and to major <br />repairs and ch~ges to old driveways which do not conform to present <br />requirements, in addition to new construction. <br /> <br />3.3 The office of the Village Engineer is to be notified <br />of the date that construction will start, at least twenty-four (24) <br />hours in advance. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY! <br /> <br />4.1 When any driveway is desired 'fo~ use to enter private <br />garage or other private residential use, the plan thereof shall be <br />approved by the Village Engineer before work is started and prior <br />to the issuance of the permit. <br /> <br />SECTION V. <br /> <br />COMMERCIAL. The locat1on and specif1cations <br />for curb cut sanddri veway~ in accordance w1 th the follow1ng para- <br />graphs shall be a necessary part of the plot plan for the use and <br />st ruct ure and must be approved pri or tot he is SURnce of a build! ng <br />permit. <br /> <br />5.2 STANDARDS. Detailed deSign and engineering standards <br />for grades, curbing, location, width, eto., shall conform to the <br />practices and regulations governing same in the Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />5.3 ACCESS TO MAJOR THOROUGHFARES. On propert1es hav1ng <br />frontage on both .IIlaj9ran~minor roa9-s, access shall be provided <br />via the minor road wherever feasible in order to reduce the number <br />of ourb cuts on major thoroughfares. <br /> <br />5.4 TRAFFIC CONTROL THROUGH RESIDENTIAL AREAS. Where <br />commercial land us~sare,adJacent ,to residential district s, ingress <br />and egress from the commerc1al properties on streets leading to or <br />through the residential zones shall not be permitted unless it can <br />be demonstrated that adequate access to publio right-of-ways is <br />thereby denied. TraffiC control is thus exercised so as to insure <br />that the location of' driveways shall not constitute a hazard nor b e <br />injurious to adjacent residential uses. <br /> <br />5.5 STATE AND COUNTY HIGHWAY REQPIREMENTS. Where the pro- <br />posed driveway,lsto ge oonstructed,so that ltopens into any street <br />designated as either a "Minnesota State, Ramsey County or U.S.Trunk <br />
