<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NOS if <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE BY ADDING CHAPTER 114 WITH RESPECT <br /> <br />TO THE REGULATION AND LICENSING OF PUBLIC VEHICLES <br /> <br />OPERATING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE AND ALSO RE- <br /> <br />GULA TING THE FARES TO BE CHARGED AND FURTHER THE <br /> <br />LICENSING AND REGULATING OF DRIVERS OF PUBLIC VEHICLES. <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Village Code of the Village of Roseville is hereby amended <br /> <br />by adding Chapter 114 and subsequent sections to read as follows: <br /> <br />114. PUBLIC VEHICLES <br /> <br />114.010. Definitions. Except where otherwise expressly stated. <br />the following terms. wherever used in this chapter. shall have the meanings <br />respectively ascribed to them in this section. viz: <br /> <br />(1) PUBLIC VEHICLES. The term "public vehicles" shall mean <br />and include any motor driven vehicle for the transportation for hire of <br />passengers, but not including any commercial vehicle regulated by the State <br />of Minne s ota . <br /> <br />(2) TAXI-METER. The term "taxi-meter" shall mean and include <br />any mechanical instrument or device approved by the Chief of Police. by <br />means of which the charge for hire of a taxicab is mechanically calculated. <br />and on which such charge is plainly indicated. <br /> <br />(3) DRIVER. The term "driver" shall mean the individual in <br />immediate control of the movement of the public vehicle. <br />
