<br />114.090. License Issuance. It shall be the duty of the <br />Village Clerk to report to the Village Council all applicants who have <br />met the requirements of this chapter. The Village Council may grant <br />a license to such applicant if the number of licenses available by the <br />terms of this chapter exceeds the number of licenses previously <br />issued. <br /> <br />114. 100. Form of License. The license shall authorize one <br />owner to operate one public vehicle according to the provisions of this <br />chapter and shall contain the name~ signature~ and address of the <br />owner and a description of the vehicle including the serial number~ <br />Minnesota State license number~ the make and model of the vehicle~ <br />and a license number selected by the Village Clerk by which the license <br />shall be designated and known. <br /> <br />114.101. Chief of Police Inspection of Public Vehicles. The <br />Chief of Police shall maintain a constant vigilance over all taxicabs to see <br />that they are kept in a condition of fitness for public use~ and to this end~ <br />he shall inspect~ or cause to be inspected" all taxicabs from time to time~ <br />or~ on the complaint of any citizen as often as may be necessary. <br /> <br />114.102. Cabs From Other Municipalities. Any public vehicle <br />licensed to operate in another municipality of the State of Minnesota may <br />carry passengers from said municipality where so licensed to any place or <br />point within the Village of Roseville and may freely enter and travel upon <br />the streets and thoroughfares for that purpose; and in such case it shall not <br />be deemed necessary for the owner of such vehicle to pay the license fee <br />herein provided for" but neither the owner nor operator of such vehicle <br />shall be permitted to solicit business in the Village of Roseville or to <br />otherwise operate within the said Village without being licensed under the <br />provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />114. 103. License Transfer. Any public vehicle license granted <br />under the provisions of this chapter may be transferred from one vehicle <br />to another without paying an additional fee for the license for the balance of <br />the license period only as hereafter set forth. The owner shall apply to <br />the Village Clerk for a transfer and shall be required to meet all of the <br />requirements of the initial application except the payment of the fee. If the <br />applicant for the transfer has met the requirements the Village Clerk shall <br />recommend to the Council that the transfer be allowed and the Council may <br />allow such transfer and the Clerk then shall issue the new license form upon <br />the termination of the old license. <br />
