<br />(c) Individual buildings having two or more types <br />of commercial activity or retail outlets operating under a <br />common name and in excess of twenty thousand (20,000) square <br />feet of gross building area may have a name plate sign of a <br />gross area not in excess of twenty (20) per cent of the <br />building face upon which the sign is located on or above, but <br />shall not exceed three hundred (300) square feet in area. <br />(d) Any individual commercial use in excess of ten <br />thousand (10,000) square feet of gross building area may have <br />a name plate sign of a gross area not in excess of twenty (20) <br />per cent of the building face upon which the sign is located <br />on or above, but shall not exceed two hundred (200) square <br />feet in area. <br />(e) Signs which have letters or graphics mounted <br />directly on a wallar fascia or ln such a way as to be <br />without a frame shall be permitted to exceed the normal sign <br />size requirements by forty (40) per cent. The dimensions for <br />calculating the square footage shall be the area extending <br />six (6) inches beyond the periphery formed around such letters <br />or graphics in a plane figure bounded by straight lines <br />connecting the outermost points thereof. Each surface utilized <br />to display a message or to attract attention shall be measured <br />as a separate sign. <br /> <br />II. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />
