<br />(2) Position Class. The term "position class" <br /> <br />shall mean a group of positions which are sufficiently <br /> <br />similar in duties and responsibilities that each position In <br /> <br />the group (a) can be given the same job title; (b) requires <br /> <br />the same education and experience; (c) can be filled by <br /> <br />substantially the same tests of ability or selection methods; <br />and (d) is of a similar level of job and,therefore, deserves <br /> <br />the same salary range. <br /> <br />(3) Position Classification Plan. The term <br /> <br />"position classification plan" shall mean a schedule of all <br /> <br />the classes which have been established, together with the <br /> <br />procedures for maintaining the plan and the specifications <br />or descriptions of each of the classes in the plan. <br /> <br />(4) Class Specification. The term "class <br />specification" shall mean the official description of the <br /> <br />duties, responsibilitie~ and qualifications requirements of <br />the positions included in a class. The class specification <br /> <br />shall consist of the following parts: <br /> <br />(a) A title which is descriptive, brief, <br />and consistent with other titles in <br />the plan. <br /> <br />(b) A definition consisting of a brief <br />over-all statement of the kind and <br />level of work included in the class.' <br /> <br />(c) Examples of typical duties performed in <br />a position in the class; however, the <br />listed examples will not be exhaustive <br />of the duties of any particular position. <br /> <br />Page Two <br />
