Re strictions Against Protruding Air Conditioners. <br /> <br />No air conditioning unit shall protrude from any exterior wall except to <br /> <br />the extent required for an appropriate grille and such grille shall be <br /> <br />designed to appear as an integral part of such wall. <br /> <br />III. <br />Chapter 47 shall be added to the Village Code, and shall <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />47. ACCOUSTICAL CONTROLS. <br /> <br />47 .010. Minimum Requirements for Accoustical Controls. <br /> <br />In all buildings housing three or more dwelling units, the following <br /> <br />requirements relating to accoustical controls shall apply: <br /> <br />(1) All plumbing serving each unit shall be separated <br /> <br />from other units by a room, closet, corridor or sound barrier. <br /> <br />(2) Party partitions and floor systems shall be of a <br /> <br />type sufficient to accomplish a loss in sound transmission of not less <br /> <br />than 50 decibels determined by averaging the loss at frequencies of 125, <br /> <br />250, 350, 500, 700, 1000, 2000 and 4000 cycles. Corridor partitions <br /> <br />shall be capable of accomplishing a loss in sound transmission of not <br /> <br />less than 45 decibels similarly determined. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
