<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 672 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE <br />OF ROSEVILLE BY ADDING CHAPTER 210 PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL <br />OF DUTCH ELM DISEASE, ALLOWING INSPECTION OF PREMISES, NOTICE <br />TO OWNERS TO REMOVE DISEASED TREESo <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of Roseville does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Village Code of the Village of Roseville is hereby amended <br /> <br />by adding Chapter 210 to read as follows: <br /> <br />210. Control of Dutch Elm Disease <br /> <br />210.010. Inspection of Premises. The Village Manager or any <br />employee of the Village so designated by the manager may enter on <br />any private land s which may harbor tree s containing Dutch Elm <br />Disease. <br /> <br />210.020. Notice to Property Owners of Diseased Trees and <br />Order for RemovaL In the event the Village Manager or his des- <br />ignated employee finds Dutch Elm Disease on any private lands, <br />he shall cause a notice to be posted in a conspicuous place on <br />said land s substantially as follows: <br /> <br />"DUTCH ELM DISEASE EXISTS ON THESE PREMISES <br />AND ALL TREES MARKED WITH A RED 'X' MUST BE <br />REMOVED BY , BY ORDER OF <br />THE VILLAGE MANAGER 0 " <br /> <br />The date inserted shall be 10 days after posting. Failure to remove <br />the trees by said date will cause the Village to remove said trees <br />and all costs for the inspection and removal of trees shall be assessed <br />against this property by order of the Village Manager. <br /> <br />The Village Manager or his designated employee shall also <br />cause copy of a notice to be mailed to the property owner on whose <br />
