<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 739 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIME LIMITATIONS ON <br />EXCAVATION, GRADING, SURFACING AND FILL PERMITS IN <br />CONNECTION WITH CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND PROVIDING <br />FOR TIME LIMITATIONS ON LICENSES FOR DUMPS, SANITARY LAND- <br />FILLS AND FILLING OF LAND NOT CONNECTED WITH CONSTRUCTION <br />OF BUILDINGS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does <br /> <br />hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 31.160 of the City Code of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Excavations, Gradinq and Filling. A permit shall <br />be required for the excavation, grading, surfacing or <br />filling for any building, structure, plot or area of <br />ground occupied by a building or in preparation for <br />the construction of a building. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Section 31.190 of the city Code of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />31.190. Expiration of Permits. <br /> <br />(1) Any permit issued under the Building Code <br />shall become invalid at the end of 90 days from the <br />date of issuance unless the work for which the permit <br />was issued has been started. This time limit may be <br />extended by the Council providing that application for <br />such extension of time has been made in writing previous <br />to the expiration date of said permit. <br /> <br />(2) A permit shall expire two years after issuance <br />for all new construction of one and two family residences, <br />and after one year of issuance for any addition or <br />improvement to an existing one or two family residence, <br />
