If such animal nuisance is not abated within that time a charge may be made against the owner or keeper of the animal and any person found to have violated the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. 145.040. License Required. All dogs kept or maintained by their owner within the corporate limits of the City of Roseville shall be licensed and registered if over 3 months of age, Dog licenses shall be issued by the City, upon payment of a fee of $7.00 for each dog, whether it be male or female, spayed or unspayed. Such license shall continue in force for the life of the animal provided that the owner shows proof every two years that the dog has shots within that period and provided that the address of the owner remains the same. A certificate of vaccination authorized by a licensed veterinarian for rabies shots must be presented at the time of licensing and within every two year anniversary date thereafter. After August 1, 1975, any dog not vaccinated for rabies every two years will be in violation of this chapter. 145.050. Issuance of Tags. Upon the payment of the license fee and presentation of a rabies vaccination certi- ficate the City shall issue a license tag to the owner containing the name and address of the owner of the dog. Duplicate tags may be issued for $1.00 in replacement of a lost tag. Dog tags shall not be transferred from one dog to another, and no refunds shall be made for any dog license fee. 145.060. Affixing Tags. Every owner of a dog required to be licensed is required to provide such dog with a collar to which the license and vaccination tags must be affixed and the collar with tags attached must be worn by such dog at all times. 145.065. Records. The City shall keep a record of all dog licenses issued, with the name, address and phone number of the person to whom issued and name, age, description of the dog and dates of rabies vaccinations. 145.070. Impounding. Any dog or cat found running at large or any dog found without valid tags displayed shall be seized and may be impounded. All dogs or cats impounded shall be kept for at least five days, unless sooner reclaimed by the owner orreturned to the owner. 145.080. Redemption. Any dog or cat may be redeemed from the pound by the owner upon the payment to the pound master of an impounding fee of $10.00 and $3.00 for each day the dog or cat is confined for the cost of feeding, and in the case of dogs, if the owner has a current license attached -2-
