If such animal nuisance is not abated <br />within that time a charge may be made against the owner or <br />keeper of the animal and any person found to have violated <br />the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br /> <br />145.040. License Required. All dogs kept or maintained <br />by their owner within the corporate limits of the City of <br />Roseville shall be licensed and registered if over 3 months <br />of age, Dog licenses shall be issued by the City, upon <br />payment of a fee of $7.00 for each dog, whether it be male or <br />female, spayed or unspayed. Such license shall continue in <br />force for the life of the animal provided that the owner shows <br />proof every two years that the dog has shots within that period <br />and provided that the address of the owner remains the same. A <br />certificate of vaccination authorized by a licensed veterinarian <br />for rabies shots must be presented at the time of licensing and <br />within every two year anniversary date thereafter. After August <br />1, 1975, any dog not vaccinated for rabies every two years will <br />be in violation of this chapter. <br /> <br />145.050. Issuance of Tags. Upon the payment of the <br />license fee and presentation of a rabies vaccination certi- <br />ficate the City shall issue a license tag to the owner containing <br />the name and address of the owner of the dog. Duplicate tags <br />may be issued for $1.00 in replacement of a lost tag. Dog <br />tags shall not be transferred from one dog to another, and no <br />refunds shall be made for any dog license fee. <br /> <br />145.060. Affixing Tags. Every owner of a dog required <br />to be licensed is required to provide such dog with a collar <br />to which the license and vaccination tags must be affixed <br />and the collar with tags attached must be worn by such dog <br />at all times. <br /> <br />145.065. Records. The City shall keep a record of all <br />dog licenses issued, with the name, address and phone number <br />of the person to whom issued and name, age, description of the <br />dog and dates of rabies vaccinations. <br /> <br />145.070. Impounding. Any dog or cat found running at <br />large or any dog found without valid tags displayed shall be <br />seized and may be impounded. All dogs or cats impounded shall <br />be kept for at least five days, unless sooner reclaimed by <br />the owner orreturned to the owner. <br /> <br />145.080. Redemption. Any dog or cat may be redeemed <br />from the pound by the owner upon the payment to the pound <br />master of an impounding fee of $10.00 and $3.00 for each <br />day the dog or cat is confined for the cost of feeding, and <br />in the case of dogs, if the owner has a current license attached <br /> <br />-2- <br />
