<br />ORDINANCE NO. 758 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING GARAGE SALE AND <br />RESIDENTIAL BOUTIQUE SALES IN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Rosevi11e does <br /> <br />hereby ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Rosevil1e is hereby <br />amended to add Section 7.025 to read as follows: <br /> <br />7.025. Garage and boutique sales in residential <br />districts. Garage sales and residential boutique sales <br /> <br />are permitted accessory uses in R-1, R-2, R-4, R-5 and <br /> <br />R-6 districts, but shall be limited to one sale each per <br />calendar year per residential unit and shall not exceed <br />ten (10) consecutive days in duration and for residential <br /> <br />boutique sales, shall not occupy more than four hundred <br />(400) square feet of a residential unit. For the purposes <br /> <br />of this section, garage sales and residential boutique <br /> <br />sales are defined, as follows: <br /> <br />1) A garage sale is a sale of used household and <br /> <br />personal items conducted on residential premises where <br /> <br />the property sold consists of items owned by the occupant <br />of the premises at which the sale takes place or by friends <br />of such occupant and where the sale is conducted by such <br /> <br />occupant or friends, and not by an agent or any other <br /> <br />person to whom a commission, fee, or salary is paid. Items <br /> <br />for sale shall not have been purchased for resale or <br /> <br />received on consignment for the purpose of resale. <br />
