Code of the City of Roseville are hereby amended to read as follows: 232.080. Deputy Chief. In the absence or disability of the Chief, the Deputy Chief shall perform all of the functions and exercise all of the authority of the Chief. The Deputy Chief shall be assigned re- sponsibilities by the Chief. 232.090. Qualifications for Deputy Chief, District Chiefs and Firefighters. The Deputy Chief, District Chiefs and Firefighters shall not be less than 21 nor more than 65 years of age and able bodied. They shall become members of the Fire Department only after a one year proba- tionary period, and all new members ap- pointed to the Fire Department shall not be appointed on or after their 36th birth- day. The Council may require that each candidate, before he may become a proba- tionary Firefighter must satisfy certain minimum requirements of height, weight, education and any other qualifications which may be specified by the Council; and that he must pass a satisfactory mental and complete physical examination. 232.100. Membership Forfeited for Absences. A Firefighter may be subject to forefeiture of his membership in the de- partment if he does not meet the following drill and call requirements: (1) All Firefighters shall attend during their available hours at least six drills per quarter, provided there are six drills held (exclusive of drills held during leave of absence, sickness, disability and vacation time). Any Firefighter who fails to make the required six drills in one quarter must make sufficient drills in the following quarter to total 12 drills for the two quarters. (2) All Firefighters shall make at least 30 per cent of all emergency calls received during their available hours during any quarter (exclusive of calls received during leave of absence, sickness, disability -2-
