<br />Code of the City of Roseville are hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />232.080. Deputy Chief. In the absence <br />or disability of the Chief, the Deputy Chief <br />shall perform all of the functions and <br />exercise all of the authority of the Chief. <br />The Deputy Chief shall be assigned re- <br />sponsibilities by the Chief. <br /> <br />232.090. Qualifications for Deputy <br />Chief, District Chiefs and Firefighters. <br />The Deputy Chief, District Chiefs and <br />Firefighters shall not be less than 21 nor <br />more than 65 years of age and able bodied. <br />They shall become members of the Fire <br />Department only after a one year proba- <br />tionary period, and all new members ap- <br />pointed to the Fire Department shall not <br />be appointed on or after their 36th birth- <br />day. The Council may require that each <br />candidate, before he may become a proba- <br />tionary Firefighter must satisfy certain <br />minimum requirements of height, weight, <br />education and any other qualifications which <br />may be specified by the Council; and that he <br />must pass a satisfactory mental and complete <br />physical examination. <br /> <br />232.100. Membership Forfeited for <br />Absences. A Firefighter may be subject to <br />forefeiture of his membership in the de- <br />partment if he does not meet the following <br />drill and call requirements: <br /> <br />(1) All Firefighters shall attend <br />during their available hours at least six <br />drills per quarter, provided there are six <br />drills held (exclusive of drills held during <br />leave of absence, sickness, disability and <br />vacation time). Any Firefighter who fails <br />to make the required six drills in one <br />quarter must make sufficient drills in the <br />following quarter to total 12 drills for the <br />two quarters. <br /> <br />(2) All Firefighters shall make at <br />least 30 per cent of all emergency calls <br />received during their available hours during <br />any quarter (exclusive of calls received <br />during leave of absence, sickness, disability <br /> <br />-2- <br />
