<br />WHEREAS, it appears that Central Landscaping of Forest Lake, Minnesota is <br />the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $462,529.07 for the <br />base bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to award the base bid with the following <br />changes: <br /> <br />1. Delete Concordia Academy parking lot reconstruction from base bid <br />2. Add Concordia parking lot overlay (Alternate 1) <br />3. Add Concordia ball field irrigation (Alternate 3) <br />4. Add alternate for plastic storm sewer pipe (Alternates 4 and 5), <br />delete concrete pipe from base bid <br />5. Add alternate for Concordia Academy ball field irrigation booster pump <br />(Alternate 6); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Central Landscaping of Forest Lake, Minnesota is <br />the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $465,965.69 for the <br />base bid and the various contract alternates and deletions; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract with Central Landscaping for $465,969.69 in the name of the <br />City of Roseville for the above improvements according to the plans <br />and specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and <br />on file in the office of the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith <br />to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except the deposits <br />of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Councilmember Maschka and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, P. Johnson, <br />Cushman, Thomas, and V.
