<br />CITY OF ROSVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 851 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE BY CHANGING THE SYMBOL BY WHICH DISEASED TREES ARE <br />DESIGNATED AND BY PROHIBITING THE STOCKPILING OR STORING <br />OF ELM LOGS WITH THE BARK INTACT EXCEPT BY PERMIT AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH PERMIT. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 210.020 of the City Code of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />210.020. Notice to Property Owners of Diseased <br />Trees and Order for Removal. In the event the City <br />Manager or an authorized employee finds diseased elm <br />or oak trees on private lands, a notice shall be posted <br />by the City Manager or the authorized employee, in a <br />conspicuous place on the property where the trees are <br />located, substantially as follows: <br /> <br />"DUTCH ELM DISEASE, OAK WILT DISEASE EXISTS <br />ON THESE PREMISES AND ALL TREES MARKED WITH A <br />DESIGNATED SYMBOL MUST BE REMOVED BY <br />BY ORDER OF THE CITY MANAGER." <br /> <br />The date inserted in said notice shall be twenty <br />(20) days after posting. Failure to remove the trees <br />by said date will cause the City to remove said trees <br />and all costs for the inspection, removal or treatment <br />of trees shall be charged against the property owner, <br />provided however, such costs may be assessed against <br />the property pursuant to Section 210.030. <br /> <br />The City Manager or authorized employee of the City <br />shall also cause a copy of said notice to be mailed to <br />the property owner on whose land the diseased tree is <br />located and the mailing will be to the address as <br />shown on the records of the County Auditor. The mailed <br />notice shall state substanially as follows: <br /> <br />"Dutch Elm disease/Oak Wilt disease has been <br />found on your premises at <br />(address). These premises are legally described <br />as: <br />
