<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 874 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 5.495 AND 5.505 AND AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 7.260 AND 7.280 DEFINING CERTAIN PERMITIED AND SPECIAL USES <br />IN "R-l" DISTRICTS AND ADDING SECTION 12.035 ESTABLISHING CRITERIA <br />FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL USE PERMITS IN ALL DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Chapter 5 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby <br /> <br />amended by adding new Sections 5.495 and 5.505, to read as follows: <br /> <br />5.495. Low Impact Public or Quasi-Public Use. Activities <br />which are sponsored by a public or quasi-public organization which <br />have minor impact in terms of traffic generation, hours of operation, <br />activities conducted, or light and noise generated, on the surrounding <br />properties. Low impact public or quasi-public uses include activities <br />employing no more than ten employees on site for anyone activity, <br />requiring not more than fifteen parking spaces for anyone activity <br />exclusive of public assembly, and not involving retailing, wholesaling, <br />or warehousing of materials other than normal office supplies. For the <br />purposes of this section, a public use is any area, building or struct- <br />ure held, used, or controlled exclusively for public purposes by any <br />department or branch of any government. A quasi-public use is any use <br />which is essentially public, as in its services rendered, although under <br />private control or ownership. <br /> <br />5.505. Mode:rate Impact Public or Quasi-Public Use. Activities <br />which are sponsored by a public or quasi-public organization which due <br />to its area requirements, traffic generation, parking requirements, <br />hours of operation, number of employees, or light and noise generated, <br />have a moderate impact on surrounding properties. Moderate impact <br />public or quasi-public uses include activities with more than ten <br />employees on site for anyone activity, requiring more than fifteen <br />parking spaces for anyone activity exclusive of those parking spaces <br />required for public assembly, and not involving retailing, wholesaling <br />or warehousing of materials other than normal office supplies. For the <br />purposes of this section, a public use is a use of any area, building <br />or structure held, used, or controlled exclusively for public purposes <br />by any department or branch of any government. A quasi-public use is <br />any use which is essentially public, as in its services rendered, al- <br />though it is under private control or ownership. <br />
