<br />II. <br /> <br />Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is <br /> <br />hereby amended by amending Sections 7.260 and 7.280, to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />7.260. Permitted Uses in "R-I" Single Family Residence <br />Districts. The following are permitted uses in "R-I" Single Family <br />Residence Districts: <br /> <br />(1) One family detached dwellings. <br /> <br />(2) Public parks and playgrounds. <br /> <br />(3) Existing railroad right-of-ways for the movement of <br />through trains but not to include switching, storage <br />yards or sidings. <br /> <br />(4) Churches, convents, libraries and City buildings, pro- <br />vided that no structure or building shall be nearer than <br />30 feet to any adjacent lot in an "R" District. <br /> <br />(5) Public, private and parochial, elementary and secondary <br />schools, universities and colleges and activities operated <br />or sponsored by such institutions provided that: <br /> <br />(a) The use by educational institutions does not <br />include dormitories or rooming space for <br />students; and <br /> <br />(b) No structure or building shall be nearer than 30 <br />feet to any adjacent lot in an "R" District. <br /> <br />(6) Low impact public or quasi-public uses as defined at <br />Section 5.495 of this Code, when located in a publicly <br />owned building, or a building which was formerly publicly <br />owned and is now owned by a church provided that no struc- <br />ture or building shall be nearer than 30 feet to any <br />adjacent lot in an "R" District. In no case shall the total <br />parking needs of low impact public or quasi-public uses on <br />a single site exceed the parking capacity already existing <br />for the building and premises where the uses are located. <br /> <br />7.280. Special Permit Uses in "R-I" Districts. Uses by <br />special permit are: <br /> <br />(1) Essential service structures, buildings such as telephone <br />exchange sub-stations, booster or pressure regulating <br />stations, wells and pumping stations, elevated tanks and <br />electric power sub-stations. <br /> <br />(2) Golf courses, country club, tennis club, public swimming <br />pool, community centers, stadium, private swimming pools <br />when intended to serve more than one family. The <br />principal structure or building relating to any of the <br />above listed uses shall not be located less than 50 feet <br />from any adjacent lot in an "R" District. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
