<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 887 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 13,310 THROUGH 13.340, <br />LIMITING THE USE OF NEWSPAPER RECEPTACLES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I . <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby <br />amended by adding Sections 13.310 through 13.340, to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />13.310 Definition of News a er Rece tacles. For the <br />purposes of t 1S or 1nance, a newspaper receptacle" is any <br />outside device, whether tubular, box shaped, or otherwise, <br />designed for and used to receive newspapers, advertising <br />flyers or similar printed material, delivered by a carrier. <br />Included in this definition are such devices which may be <br />attached to the sides of buildings, free standing posts, <br />mailbox posts, fence posts, and other outside structures. <br /> <br />13.320. NewspaQer Rece~tacles Limited. Newspaper <br />receptacles are prohibited 1n public rights-of-way and <br />private yards, except: <br /> <br />(a) Where the newspaper receptacle is attached to a <br />building by, or at the written request of , the <br />owner or occupier of the building; or <br /> <br />(b) Where there is a free standing mailbox adjacent <br />to the roadway, one newspaper receptacle may be <br />attached to the mailbox post or, if that is not <br />practical, one newspaper receptacle may be placed <br />on a separate post if such post is located within <br />eighteen (18) inches of the mailbox post and the <br />newspaper receptacle is installed by or at the <br />written request of the owner or occupier of the <br />property. <br /> <br />13.330.
