<br />desires to consider additional applicants for a franchise. <br /> <br />B. Grantee may be approved, and this Franchise or modificatIon to <br />it may be renewed, by City in accordance with then existing <br />rules of the FCC, the Board, the City and all other applicable <br />laws, ordinances, rules, or regulations. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Nothing in this Franchise shall be construed to require renewal <br />of this Franchise. <br /> <br />D. City shall conduct an investigation and evaluation of the <br />Grantee and the System and the renewal application. This <br />investigation and evaluation shaH be completed by City within <br />six months after receipt of the application and determination by <br />City of its completeness. <br /> <br />E. Renewal of this Franchise may be for any length of time but not <br />more than fifteen years, unless otherwise permitted by federal <br />or state law, and may be on a year-to-year basis in the sole <br />discretion of City. <br /> <br />- 42 - <br />
