Additional channel capacity to and from institutions (Institutional Net- <br />work) (continued). <br /> <br />i.(1) Clearly indicate whether the institutions listed on the previous <br />page {I-15( f)] will be initially connected or simply passed by <br />cable. Indicate the type of service (basic subscriber service <br />and tier, drop from the institutional network, etc.) to be pro- <br />vided to each institution. <br /> <br />Every institution listed on the previous page will be initially <br />connected to cable, and will receive one (1) free drop to the <br />Institutional Network. All public buildings, e~cept schools <br />and libraries, will receive one (1) free drop to the Subscriber <br />Network, and Full Basic (Tier III) service at ~ monthly service <br />charge. All schools (both public and private, the university of <br />Minnesota and private colleges) and libraries will receive one <br />(1) free drop to the Subscriber Network, and Interactive (Tier IV) <br />service at ~ monthly service charge. <br /> <br />(2) Discuss the provision of terminal equipment for video and data <br />origination to institutions. Include rates, if any, to be <br />charged for such terminal equipment. <br /> <br />The following equipment will be provided. <br />charged for the use of this equipment: <br /> <br />No rates will be <br /> <br />Interactive Terminals Each public and private school, library <br />and higher educational facility will receive a free drop to our <br />Interactive Tier IV service. Additionally, a pool of 75 interac- <br />tive terminals will be available for allocation by the Joint <br />School Committee to public schools to be used for discrete inter- <br />active education for students who are temporarily unable to <br />attend classes.
