<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 956 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 151 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE ADDING REGULATIONS OF OFF-SALE LIQUOR LI- <br />CENSES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of RoseviUe does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Chapter 151 of the City Code of the City of RoseviUe is amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />151. Liquor and Wine Licenses <br /> <br />151.010. Provisions of State Law Adopted. The provisions of Minnesota <br />Statutes, Chapter 340, relating to the definition of terms, licensing, consump- <br />tion, sales, conditions of bonds and licenses, hours of sales except as provided in <br />Section 151.015, and all other matters pertaining to the retail sale, distribution, <br />and consumption of intoxicating liquor are adopted and made a part of this <br />ordinance as if set out in full. <br /> <br />151.015. Hours of Sale on Sunday. On-sale licensees of authorized sales <br />on Sunday may serve intoxicating liquors between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and <br />12:00 midnight on Sundays. <br /> <br />151.020. License Required. <br /> <br />(I) General Requirement. No person, except a wholesaler or manu- <br />facturer to the extent authorized under state license, shall directly or indirectly <br />deal in, sell, or keep for sale in the City any intoxicating liquor without a license <br />to do so as provided in this ordinance. Liquor licenses shall be of five kinds: "on- <br />sale", "on-sale wine", club, special Sunday, and off-sale. All licenses shall expire <br />on December 31 of each year. <br /> <br />(2) On-Sale Licenses. "On-Sale" licenses shall be issued only to hotels <br />and restaurants and shall permit "on-sale" of liquor only, for consumption on the <br />licensed premises only, in conjunction with the sale of food. For the purposes of <br />this ordinance, the following definitions are adopted: <br /> <br />(a) Hotel. A hotel is any establishment having a resident proprietor <br />or manager, where, in consideration of payment therefor, food and lodging are <br />regularly furnished to transients, which maintains for the use of its guests, not <br />less than 50 guest rooms with bedding and other usual, suitable and necessary <br />furnishings in each room, which is provided at the main entrance with a suitable <br />lobby, desk, and office for the registration of its guests, which employs an <br />adequate staff to provide suitable and usual service, and which maintains, under <br />
