<br />least 50 percent of the gross sales of the <br />establishment must be attributable to <br />the service of meals. Where the seating <br />capacity is 175 or more, at least 25 <br />percent of the gross sales of the estab- <br />lishment must be attributable to the <br />service of meals. <br /> <br />(3) On-Sale Wine Licenses. "On-sale" Wine licenses <br />shall be issued only to restaurants meeting the <br />qualification of Minnesota Statutes, Section 340.11, <br />Subdivision 20, and shall permit only the sale of wine <br />not exceeding 14 percent alcohol by volume, for <br />consumption on the licensed premises only, in <br />conjunction with the sale of food. To qualify for a <br />license under this section, a restaurant must have <br />appropriate facilities for seating at least 25 guests <br />at a time, regularly serve meals at tables to the <br />public for a charge, and employ an adequate staff. <br /> <br />(4) Club License. Club licenses for the sale of <br />intoxicating beverages to be consumed on the <br />licensed premises may be issued to any non-profit <br />organization, duly organized under the laws of the <br />state for civic, fraternal, social, or business pur- <br />poses, or for intellectual improvement or for the <br />promotion of sports, which has been in existence for <br />more than 15 years, and any congressionally <br />chartered veterans organization which has been in <br />existence for more that 10 years prior to January 1, <br />1969, which shall have more than 50 members, and <br />which shall, for more than one year, have owned, <br />hired, or leased a building or space in a building of <br />such extent and character as may be suitable and <br />adequa te for the reasonable and comfortable accom- <br />moda tions of its members and whose affairs and <br />management are conducted by a board of directors, <br />executive committee, or other similar body chosen <br />by the members of the club or its guest. <br /> <br />(5) Special Licenses for Sunday Sales. A special license <br />authorizing sales on Sunday in conjunction with the <br />serving of food may be issued to any hotel, <br />restaurant, or club which has an on-sale license. A <br />special Sunday license is not needed for Sunday sales <br />by wine license. <br /> <br />(6) Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor Licenses. "Off-sale" <br />licenses for the sale of intoxicating liquor shall <br />permit the licensee to sell intoxicating liquor in <br />original packages for consumption off the premises <br />only. Such licenses may be issued in accordance <br />with the provisions of this chapter. <br />
