<br />Rule 12. Reconsideration. When a Question has been voted upon, it shall <br />be in order for any member to move 3. reconsideration at the same <br />meeting or at the mext regular meeting following. <br /> <br />Rule 13. Name of member of Council on ordinances or resolutions. No <br />ordinance or resolution shall be read before the Council unless <br />the Smle be introduced by and bear the name of some me.ber of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Rule 14. Clerk shall inform officers. l'lembers of the councilor of the <br />Committee thereof as well as other officers of the Village shall <br />be kept informed by the Clerk of such duties as they may be charged <br />with by the Ccuncil from time to time. He shall perform such other <br />duties as appertain to his position as Clerk. The Clerk shall <br />see that no journal records or papers are taken from the table <br />or out of his cusr.ody other than as may be rr;Quired by the regular <br />Council procedure or by a Councilman, and any Councilman receiving <br />any record or paper from the Clerk, shall leave a receipt therefor. <br />If any paper or document in his charge should be missed, the <br />Clerk shall report the fact to the presiding officer so that the <br />paper may be recovered and its loss inquired into. <br /> <br />Rule 15. Ordinances and Resolutions. It shall be the duty of tp.e village <br />attorney to prepare all ordinances and resolutions on request of <br />any councilman. No ordinance shall be introduced until it has .0 <br />been approved as to form by the Village Attorney. <br /> <br />Rule 16. Rules of order. The rules of parliamentary practice embraced in <br />Roberts Hules of Order shall govern the Council procedure in case <br />to which they are applicable and to which they are),not inconsistent <br />with standing rules or order and business of the Council. <br /> <br />Rule 17. Suspension of rules. No rule of the Council shall be suspended <br />without the concurrence of 4 members of the Coumcil. <br /> <br />'') <br /> <br />Rule 18. Order of business. The following shall be the order of business <br />of the Council: <br />1. Reading of the minutes. <br />2. Public hearings. <br />3. Petitions, applications and comminications to the Council. <br />4. Reports of standing comllittees. <br />5. Reports of special committees. <br />6. Reports from officers of the Village. <br />7. Unfinished business from preceding sessions in order in which <br />it was introduced. <br />8. New business embracing resolutions and other mat~ers offered <br />for the consideration of the Council provided the canvassing <br />of returns of elections, the election and confirmation of officers <br />and appointment of standing committees shall supersede all <br />other business and provided further that at a special session <br />of the Council called for a particulctr object or purpose, no <br />business shall be transacted by the Council not connected with <br />such special object or purpose except bynnanimous consent of <br />all members of the Council. <br />
