<br />-2- <br /> <br />IfrlEREAS, the Public Works Director has prepared plans and <br />specifications for the construction of concrete curb and gutter on <br />Terrace Drive from the west line of Western Avenue to the north <br />line of Terrace Drive, and on Terrace Drive from the west line of <br />Western Avenue to the east line of Mackubin Street, and on Judith <br />Avenue from the west line of Western Avenue to the east line of <br />Mackubin Street and Mackubin Street from the north line of Terrace <br />Drive to the south line of Judith Avenue~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> <br />1. Such plans and specifications are hereby ordered accepted <br />and fi led. <br /> <br />2. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.03l, the council deems <br />it necessary and feasible prior to the holding of any public hearing <br />in connection with installation of concrete curb and gutter, that <br />accurate costs and construction data be received and hereby authorizes <br />and directs the Village Clerk to prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br />Village official newspaper and in Construction Bulletin an advertisement <br />for bids upon the construction of the surfacing of the aforementioned <br />street sections on two bases: one with the installation of asphalt <br />curb and gutter and onewith the installation of concrete curb and gutter, <br />in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. The advertise- <br />ment shall be published as required by law, it shall specify the work to <br />be done , it shall call for bids upon the basis of a cash payment for such <br />work on the base bid and alternate provisions included in said plans; and <br />shall state that the bids will be opened by the Public Works Director and <br />the Village Manager at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, July 8, 1965, in the Council <br />Chambers of the Village Hall, and that the bids will be referred to the <br />Village Council at its regular meeting of July 12, 1965; and that no bids <br />will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied <br />by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check for 10% <br />of the amount of such bid to be forfeited in the event that successful <br />bidder fails to enter into a contract and that no bid may be withdrawn <br />for a period of 30 days after the date and time set for the opening of <br />the bids. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Trustee Goodrich and upon vote being taken thereon the <br />following voted in favor: All present <br /> <br />and the following against: None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. <br />
