SIGN O~JPTA"JCE <br />Dah1.gren reported that he has bean meeting separately with Petroleum Industries <br />and 'lidn City' Sign .Association. The committeo appointed to atudy the sign problem <br />several months ago has never tunctioned. Twin City Sign Association has suggested <br />certain changes in the or6.inance pertaining to filUm! stations which has been <br />revised by Mr. tahlgren and sent back againsto the .Association tor handling with <br />1 te people. PIAn <br />Simerman reported that the main discussion of the meetinq held wi th the Park Board <br />was about proposed purchase of property tor the location of a central park. The <br />matter of financing the purchase or the necessary proper'ty va.s the basic problem. <br /> <br />1'1ah1..-r.ren sta.ted that the prior.J:ty sites should be t.he sMall areas designated; that <br />the proposed central park site would not likely b3 developed tor home sites. <br /> <br />Robert 'msaiM, 15'OL. Edgcwator, Arden nil1s, advised that he WAe a member of Prince <br />of Peace Church and was concerned about. the park plan in Rosevil1e. ITe indicated <br />tbat the churoh has 22 acres of property for sale. The Money trom the sale of the <br />pronerty is to be usod for fina.ncing a Sunday School '.dng to the church proper and <br />that it is vital to the chureh to know the status of' the surrounding propt!1"ty. <br />
