Motion Carried.. <br /> <br />DOUGLAS REES, JUBIIEE STORES PLOT PLAN <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney, attorney f~r Mr.. Rees and the Steenberg Construction Company, pre= <br />sented (1) a rend~ of the proposed building which is to be brick faced and have <br />concrete block side and back 't18.11s. (2) Drainage plan to the county dit.cll. C3) A <br />revised plot plan dated 10....13...60, <br /> <br />Mr(o Dahlgren commented on the plan and varienoes that the plan of 10...13-60 would <br />necessitate. (1) Set back is insufficient. Approximately 40 feet appeared to be <br />alloted but 100 feet is required by the zoning ordinance. (2) Parking ratio in- <br />SUffioient.. The plan was somewhat unclear as to the desires of the de.velopern <br />HOtfever, depending on the method of calculation, the plan was from ll7 to 194 <br />parking spaces short of the req~rements of the ordinance" <br /> <br />Emil Walsh of Steenberg Construction Co. Virtually demanded that the variances <br />be granted because: (1) areas were dedicated for streets and planting and (2) <br />he felt it was not feasible to park behind the building.. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren pointed out that (1) parking should be all around the building as in <br />Slawik's Har-l'Yar Center (2) the building should not have a front and a back in this <br />location and (3) access to property is from County Road liB" as well as Snelling and <br />parking and building should accomodate this. <br /> <br />Franke moved and Soike seconded.. that the hearing be continued until NO'iTember 7 J <br />1960, to permit the developers to submit a revised plan which conforms to the <br />ordinance.. Motion carriedo <br /> <br />V AWlS PUT (Cleveland and Sldllrnan) <br /> <br />MrQ Valois and son were present and discussed the propl'sed plat and the problem <br />of access into the adjaoent areac <br /> <br />Boike l1'1OY'ed,t Franke Seconded, that the hearing be continued until December 7, <br />to pennit the Valois to work out the road problem.. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />S'lREET NAMING COMMITTEE <br /> <br />The Committee cited work progress and requested that the matter be tabled until <br />November 10.
