<br />_2- <br /> <br />Membrez moved, Soike seconded, that we recommend to the Village Council that the <br />preliminary plat of Porte Park Plat No. 2 be approved; and that we also recommend <br />that Fernwood Street be vacated from Brooks to Sextant Avenues on condition that <br />Lot 9 be sold to the Village for $3,000 for park purposes as proposed. Carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 50 - B 1 A District <br /> <br />Membrez moved, Motl seconded, that we recommend to the Village Council that the <br />amendment to the Village Code prepared by the Village Attorney be adopted to the <br />ordinance by adding Sections A, B, C, and D outlined in memo dated December 5, 1962 <br />Case 62-50. <br /> <br />a. Section 8.261 delete paragraph five (5) colleges and schools, <br />public and private. <br /> <br />b. Section 8.263 add to the list of special uses "multiple residential". <br /> <br />c. Add to Zoning Ordinance to Section 13.240 "building heights over the <br />minimums specified in I, Band R 3 Districts may be authorized by <br />special permit in accordance with the procedures outlined in this <br />Ordinance". <br /> <br />d. Amend Zoning Ordinance Section 10.030 Front Yard Set-Back ..,.... <br />Front yards shall contain no parking or serVlce areas within fifty <br />(50) feet of a street right-of-way. Such fifty (SO) feet strip <br />shall be landscaped and screened as required in this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously <br /> <br />File No. 114 - R-3 Districts - Dahlgren proposed adding R-4 and R-5 Districts to the <br />zoning code. R-4 would consist of 3-4 plex units and R-5 would accommodate 3-7 <br />unit multiple buildings. Building heigth limitations in both districts would be <br />two st01ies in height instead of two and one-half stories in the present R-3 district. <br />Each district would require 200 square feet play space per unit. ~1inimum lot size <br />for R-4 would be 15,000 square feet as compared to 24,000 square feet in an R-5 <br />district. Parking and screening requirements adjacent to R-I residential district <br />would be the same as now set out in the ordinance. <br /> <br />Membrez moved, Motl seconded, that the Secretary advise the Village Council that <br />the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Village Council on multiple <br />dwelling districts at the next meeting after it has a chance to study the planning <br />consultant's report. Carried unamiously. <br /> <br />File No. 38 - The matter of fitting automobile agency's into the zoning ordinance <br />was referred to Howard Dahlgren for study and a report back to the Planning Commission <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />File No. 83 - Membrez moved, Soike seconded, that the minutes of the February 6, 1963 <br />meeting be approved.
