Minutes of Roseville Planning Commission Meeting April 3, 1963 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Chairman Jonason called the meeting to order. Commissioners Grauel, Jonason, Membrez, Motl, Soike and Swanson were present. Councilman Kustermann and Engineer Hanson were also present. Commissioner Lund and Planner Dahlgren were absent. File 130 - Kenneth M. Reinhardt application for approval of preliminary plat of Reinhardt Addition together with petition to rezone land from R-l to R-2 and R-l to R-3 near County Road B 2 and Dale Street. ~~. Rein}~ardt was advised that the legal description for the property to be rezoned was not a complete description of the property and that public notices would have to be republished in the newspaper when the correct legal description of the property is available. Membrez Moved, Swanson Seconded, that the petition submitted by Kenneth Reinhardt for approval of preliminary plat and rezonings of land be continued until the next regular meeting. Carried unanimously. File 132 - Application submitted by B-Dale ~1en's Club for rezoning of lot at 2100 North Dale Street from R-l to B-1 District to construct a recreation center. Gerald Christensen and Neil Holmquist spoke in favor of the application to rezone the property. Soike Moved, Motl Seconded, that we recommend approval of the rezoning requested by the B-Dale Men's Club. Carried unanimously. File 133 - Application submitted by Donald V. Roberts to rezone land from R-I to R-3 fronting on Snelling Curve near County Road C to construct a 17-unit apartment building. Messrs. Donald Roberts and John Daubney spoke for the rezoning. Mr. Roberts proposes to build a 2 1/2 story building containing 16 one-bedroom and one two-bedroom apartments. The land area is 31,914 square feet or .73 acre. Those who spoke against the rezoning were: 1. Howard Germanson, 1489 Rose Place. He submitted a petition containing the names of people in the neighborhood who were opposed to the rezoning. Most of the names on the petition were of people living beyond 250 feet of the property in question. 2. Lawrence Moreland, 2609 Snelling Curve. He requested to have his name stricken from the petition circulated by the Applicant, 3. Fred Hurias, 2533 Snelling Curve. Grauel Moved, Soike Seconded, that we recommend that the application submitted by Donald V. Roberts to rezone land from R-l to R-3 fronting on Snelling Curve be approved. Carried unanimously.
