<br />Minutes of Rosevillc Planning Commission Heeting <br />Nay 1, 1963 <br />8:00 p.m. to 11:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Jonason called the meeting to order. Commissioners Grauel, Jonason, <br />Membrez, ~futl, Soike and Swanson were present. Commissioner Lund was absent. <br />Councilman Kustermann, Engineer Hanson and Planner Dahlgren were also present. <br /> <br />File No. 130. Application submitted by Kenneth ~f. Reinhardt to develop property <br />near County Road B 2 and Dale Street. Kenneth Reinhardt attended the meeting. <br />His application covered a preliminary plat consisting of 10 single family <br />residential lots; rezoning of land known as Lots 5, 6, and 13, Block 1, Reinhardt <br />Addition, from R-l to R-2; and rezoning of land from R-l to R-3 to build two <br />40'x 80' apartments consisting of seven one-bedroom and two two-bedroom units. <br /> <br />Richard Dace, 2407 N. Dale Street and Herbert Dickhudt, 684 County Road B, spoke <br />in opposition to the rezoning of land from R-l to R-3. ~1r. Dickhudt also <br />presented a petition containing names of people opposed to the rezoning, <br /> <br />Swanson moved, Soike seconded, that we recommend denial of request made by <br />Kenneth Reinhardt for rezoning of land from R-I to R-2. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Swanson moved, Motl seconded that we approve the preliminary plat of Reinhardt <br />Addition. Carried unanimously, <br /> <br />Swanson moved, Motl seconded, that we recommend approval of rezoning of land from <br />R-l to R-3 and that the Applicant adjust the lot lines on the plot plan to meet <br />the density requirements of the ordinance. Motion carried. Jonason voted against <br />the rezoning. <br /> <br />File No. 135. Application submitted by Naiditch & Sons for a special use permit <br />to construct two 23-unit one-bedroom apartment buildings in a B I District near <br />Rice Street and Skillman Avenue. Also special use permit to increase building <br />height limits from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 stories. Messrs. Shaw and Lund spoke in behalf <br />of the application. <br /> <br />Those opposed were: Quinlan Brandt, 2069 Marion Street, G. T. ~minwaring, 2075 <br />Marion Street, and Otto Hess, 2074 Marion Street. <br /> <br />Motl moved, Grauel seconded, that the Naiditich special use permit be recommended <br />for approval with the stipulation that the Applicant be required to construct fences <br />and screen the property in accordance with plan prepared by Midwest Planning and <br />Research, Inc. Carried unanimously, <br /> <br />File No. 136 - Application from Clifford Lund to vacate portions of Albermarle <br />Street and open and extend Skillman Avenue from Albermarle Street to Rice Street. <br />Clifford Lund attended the meeting. <br />
