Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 118 - Application from Ferdinand Bucher for a special use permit to <br />extract sand and gravel from property in the vicinity of South Owasso Boulevard <br />and Western Avenue. John Daubney requested that the application be continued <br />until the June 5, 1963, meeting to allow ~~. Bucher time to submit a plan with <br />revised elevation grades. <br /> <br />Soike moved, Grauel seconded, that we continue application from Ferdinand Bucher <br />until the next meeting. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 140 - Frank Graham, attorney, for Har-~mr Incorporated, requested a <br />variance which will allow a building to be constructed for J. C. Penney Company <br />63 feet from County Road B. The ordinance requires a building to have a front <br />yard setback of 100 feet when located in a shopping center district. The service <br />station on the adjoining property is set back 63 feet from County Road B. The <br />proposed building will be constructed 63 feet from County Road B, the same as the <br />service station, and will line up with the existing east line of the J. C. Penney <br />building. <br /> <br />Swanson Moved, Hembrez seconded, that we recommend to the Village Council that we <br />approve variance in front yard setback for Har-Har, Inc., together with the revised <br />setbacks as shown on the plan in accordance with Section 9.030 of the ordinance. <br />Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 138 - Application from William E. Olson and Hary Jane Olson for a variance <br />covering a dancing school in an R-1 District at 1911 Dellwood Avenue. <br /> <br />r4r. Guerin, Attorney for the Olsons, wrote a letter requesting the Commission to <br />continue action on the application for variance until the June 5, 1963 meeting. <br /> <br />Grauel moved, Membrez seconded, that the application submitted by William E. Olson <br />and Mary Jane Olson be continued until the next meetinR. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 139 - Application submitted by Garley Construction Company for a special <br />use permit in connection with development of property near Elmer and Rice Streets. <br /> <br />Calvin Garley requested a special use permit to build two l7-unit one-bedroom <br />apartments in a B-1 district with the buildings to be 2 1/2 stories in height. <br />The applicant also desires to construct a garage on the property which will <br />accommodate inside parking of 26 cars. This parking area will provide for 58 spaces <br />which will more than exceed the minimum parking requirements. The lot is also 800 <br />square feet under the minimum density requirements. <br /> <br />Motl moved, Soike seconded, that the Garley special use permit and variance be <br />recommended for approval with provision that the garage building be fully faced <br />with brick on all exterior walls. The plans for the garage structure should be <br />approved by the building inspector who should carefully consider the structural <br />aspects for fire protection. Carried unanimously. <br />
