<br />Hinutes of the Rosevi lIe Planning Comission <br />Regular Meeting = October 2, 1963 <br />7:30 p.m. - 11:18 p.m, <br /> <br />Chairman Jonason called the meeting to order. Commissioners Grauel, Jonason, <br />Lund, 1iot!, Sigford and Soike \"ere present. Commissioner Hembrez \\Ias absent. <br />Councilman Schrenker, Planner Dahlgren and Engineer Hanson \\Iere also present, <br /> <br />File No. 149 - Bee-Dale, Inc, application to rezone land from R-l to B-1 near <br />Rice Street and Highway No. 36. Messrs> Anthony r.iathkaitig Richard Farr and <br />Robert Gearin, their attorney, attended the meeting. Mr, and Mrs. Barney Schmig <br />also attended. Bee-Dale, Inc. proposes to rezone 2.5 acres of land near Rice <br />Street and Highway No. 36 in order to construct a nursinp, home. The only access <br />to the property is from Rice Street over a strip of land 30 feet wide by 150 <br />feet long. Bee-Dale, Inc. made an offer of $3,000.00 to purchase a 30 x 150 foot <br />parcel of land from Barney Schmig without success> Mr 0 Schmig does not Nant to <br />sell just a portion of his property. The additional property was to be used to <br />complete the dedication of a 60 foot wide street extending from Rice Street to <br />the nursing home. At $3,000.00 the land would have a value of $100000 per front <br />foot on Rice Street or 65~ per square foot for the 4,500 square feet. <br /> <br />Grauel moved, Soike seconded, that we recommend that the application for rezoning <br />of land by Bee-Dale, Inc. be approved and that the Applicant dedicate a 60=foot <br />right-of-way for street purposes along its southerly property line from Rice Street <br />to the proposed cuI de sac; except for a 30 x 150 parcel of land adjacent to Rice <br />Street which Bee-Dale, Inc. does not own, It is further recommended that no <br />building permits be issued until the Planning Commission has a chance to review the <br />proposed plat or building development plan of the property. <br /> <br />~1otion carried. Jonason voted nay. <br /> <br />File No. 155 - Michael R. Tschida, Bernard .1. Tschida, and Clifford Lund's <br />petition to vacate portion of Albermarle Street and alley north of Elmer Street. <br />Clifford Lund, Michael Tschida and Bernard Tschida attended the meeting. No one <br />opposed the petition. <br /> <br />Motl moved, Soike seconded, that we recommend that that portion of Albermarle Street <br />and alley be vacated as requested. Carried unanimously, <br /> <br />File No. 158 - Application from Russell J. IUinar9 Arthur McCue, James Ho Casey <br />and Lloyd ~~gnuson for preliminary plat of Oakridge Lane Addition on Victoria <br />Street near Roselawn Avenue. All the above mentioned men attended the meeting. <br />No one opposed the proposed plat. <br /> <br />Jonason moved, Lund seconded, that the preliminary plat of Oakridge Lane Addition <br />be approved and that the Applicant dedicate an easement for sanitary sewer line. <br />The location and width of such dedication should be determined by the Village <br />Engineer. It is also recommended that the Applicant not be required to construct <br />the cuI de sac because it would not be economically feasible to do so. Carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 161 = Norman C. Horton and Lucille Eo Horton application to subdivide <br />existing lot into 3 lots near South Owasso Boulevard and Dale Street, <br /> <br />~1r. Horton is attorney requested that the application be continued until the next <br />meeting. <br />
