<br />Minutes of the Roseville Planning Commission <br />Regular ~reeting - November 6, 1963 <br />7:30 p.m. to 10:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Jonason called the meeting to order. Commissioners Grauel, Jonason, <br />Lund, Membrez, Motl, Sigford and Soike were present. Councilman Schrenker, <br />Planner Dahlgren and Engineer Hanson were also present. <br /> <br />File No. 161 - Norman C. Horton and Lucille E. Horton, 635 S. Owasso Boulevard, <br />propose to subdivide 3.90 acres of land into three lots described by metes and <br />bounds description. Ken Tilson represented Mr. Horton at the meeting. <br /> <br />Grauel moved, Motl seconded, that we recommend that the application be denied <br />and that the Applicant meet with Howard Dahlgren to discuss the following land <br />dedications: <br />1) The Applicant shall dedicate the south 20 feet of the property <br />which will increase the width of South OWasso Boulevard to a <br />60 foot right-of-way. <br /> <br />2) The Applicant shall dedicate a 60 foot right-of-way which will <br />some day provide an east-west street paralleling South Owasso <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br />3) The Applicant shall dedicate a 10 foot right-of-way for drainage <br />purposes to drain the surface waters from the intersections of <br />Dale Street and South Owasso Boulevard to Lake Owasso. <br /> <br />Motion carried, 4 to 3 - Jonason, Membrez and Soike voted nay. <br /> <br />File No. 164 - Clayton E. Narveson request for variance in side yard setback at <br />1981 W. Eldridge Street. Mr. Narveson attended the meeting. He proposes to con- <br />struct a porch on the east side of his home which will require a variance to the <br />ordinance of four feet. <br /> <br />Sigford moved, Soike seconded, that the variance be approved. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 165 - Clinton Peifer, 2944 Mildred Drive, application to rezone Lot 22, <br />Rohleder's Oak Grove Addition from R-I to R-2 for the purpose of constructing a <br />duplex in a single family residential district. ~tt. Peifer attended the meeting. <br />L. L. Baker, 2945 N. Fairview Avenue did not oppose the rezoning provided adequate <br />off-street parking is established. <br /> <br />Motl moved, Sigford seconded, that we recommend that the application for rezoning <br />be denied and that the lot be retained for single family residential use. Carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />File No. 166 - William F. Meyer and Henrietta L. Meyer, application to subdivide <br />lot at 2801 N. Victoria Avenue into 2 lots. William Meyer attended the meeting. <br />The proposed lake shore lot has an area of il,700 square feet and, therefore, meets <br />the density requirements of the ordinance. <br /> <br />It should be noted that the Recreation Board dropped this parcel of land from its <br />park plan due to exeessive land costs. <br />
