<br />Village of Roseville <br /> <br />Minutes of the Planning Commission <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />~mrch 4, 1964 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nelson at 7:40 p.m. Members <br />present: Motl, Sigford, Anderson, Soike, Lund, Nelson and Membrez; also, <br />Planning Consultant Dahlgren and Village Engineer, Robert Hanson. <br /> <br />File No. 83 - The minutes of February 5th with the name Soike, which had been <br />omitted) be listed as being present, were approved by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />File 64-174 - Request for a sign variance. After some concern expressed by <br />some members of the commission of making exceptions to the sign ordinance, it <br />was finally moved by Nelson, seconded by Soike that we recommend the variance, <br />of the location and size of the sign, be granted. Nelson, Motl, Lund, Soike, <br />Anderson, Membrez voting Aye, Sigford voting nay. <br /> <br />File 64-175 - Rezoning application from Clifford Lund. The applicant was not <br />present, therefore, Motl moved, Anderson seconded that we layover the appli- <br />cation to our next regular meeting, April 1, 1964. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-173 B - Rezoning request by Harley Grayden from R-1 to R-3 of property known <br />as 3012 Highway 8. Jim Borden representing Grayden requested that the matter be <br />laid over to the next regular meeting April 1, 1964. Motl moved, Anderson seconded, <br />that request be granted. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-178 - Rezoning and Variance request from Keller Corporation for property <br />on the southwest corner of County Road Band Hamline Avenue - the petitioners <br />having notsuffucient information on the type of office building they propose to <br />build, it was moved by Motl, seconded by Anderson that it be laid over to our <br />next regular meeting April 1, 1964. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-177 Special use permit to build apartment buildings in a B-1 area and a <br />variance to permit greater density requested by the Garley Construction Company - <br />location Elmer Street approximately 200 feet west of Rice Street. <br /> <br />Soike ~foved, Anderson seconded, that the density variance and special use permit <br />to construct apartment buildings 2-1/2 stories in height on property zoned B-1, be <br />granted subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Garages proposed, to be constructed of brick on all four sides to <br />match apartment buildings. <br />2. Garages to be placed as close as possible to the south property line, <br />thus widening the space between the garages to 31 feet. <br />3. Provide back around areas on each side of the garage units. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64 . 179 - Preliminary Plat of Lake Owasso Shores. Mernbrez moved, Soike <br />seconded, that we recommend the approval of this plat subject to an additional <br />dedication of 10 feet to widen Lake OWasso Boulevard. Carried unanimously. <br />
