<br />Regular Meeting - Planning Commission <br />Wednesday, May 6, 1964 - 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nelson at 7:40 P.M. <br />Members present: Nelson, Soike, Anderson, Sigford, Lund, Membrez <br />Also present: Soutter, Engineer; Dahlgren, Consultant, and Grauel, Trustee. <br /> <br />Soike Moved, Anderson Seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting of April I, <br />1964, be approved as submitted. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-181 - The request of Anatoli Popov for the division of a lot at 250 North <br />McCarrons Boulevard - On motion by Nelson, seconded by Anderson, this request was <br />again laid over to our next regular meeting of June 3, 1964, because the petitioner <br />failed to appear at the meeting. <br /> <br />File 64-173 B - Rezoning application from Harley Grayden from R-l to R-3 a lot on <br />old Highway 8 - as per request of the petitioner, Soike moved, seconded by Nelson <br />that this request be laid over to our June 3, 1964 meeting. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-175 - The application for <br />of land on the southwest corner of <br />to withdraw this rezoning request. <br />request to withdraw was accepted. <br /> <br />rezoning from B-1 to B-3 from Clifford Lund, a tract <br />Rice Street and Elmer Street. The petitioner asked <br />On motion by Anderson, seconded by Nelson, this <br />Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-187 - Rezoning request by Marvin Bullick of the p~operty located at the north- <br />west corner of Victoria and County Road "c" from R-l to B-1. Mr. Van Housen submitted <br />plans to construct a nursing home of 120 beds. He agreed to deed restrict the north <br />30 feet to assure that no building will be built closer than 30 feet along the north <br />side. Mr. Bob Munson, 2774 Lakeview and B. E. Meyer, 266 North Owasso Boulevard, were <br />concerned about the extension of the main building along the northside of the property. <br />They were told that if the rezoning was granted as per the development of the plot <br />plan submitted, the extension could not be done unless a permit was granted by the <br />Village. <br /> <br />Nelson moved, Sigford seconded, that we recommend the rezoning from R-l to B-1. <br />Carried unanimously. It was also moved by Anderson, seconded, by Nelson, that the <br />plot plan of the development be approved as presented and that we ac~~pt the 30 foot <br />deed restriction offered by petitioner. Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-188 - Request by the Centennial Methodist Church to vacate the portion of <br />Asbury Street from County Road C-2 to a southerly direction 380 feet and to release <br />the utility easements running parallel to the proposed vacation of Asbury Street. The <br />Engineer stated the, sanitary sewer and water adequately serve the area without these <br />easements. Anderson mGved, Soike seconded, we recommend that the requests be granted. <br />Carried unanimously. <br /> <br />File 64-190 - Rezoning request of Cyril Sheehy from R-l to R-3 of the property located <br />at 3105 North Lexington Avenue. Mr. Lien of Sheehy Construction stated they plan to <br />construct a eleven unit apartment building. Kenneth Nolan and Robert Danielson residing <br />in the area were opposed because of insufficient access. It was suggested that a <br />revised proposal be submitted. Soike moved, seconded by Anderson, that we lay the <br />matter over to the next regular meeting as per request of the petitioner. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />
