<br />Minutes of Rosevi1le Planning Commission <br /> <br />Regular Meeting - Wednesday, October 7D 1964 <br /> <br />Members present: Nelson. Soike, Lund, AndersonD Membrez. The meeting was called to <br />order by George Membrez because Chairman Nelson was delayed in arriving at the meeting. <br />Anderson movedD Soike seconded. that the minutes of September 2 D 1964, be approved as <br />submitted. Carried by unanimous vote. When Chairman Nelson arrived he announced <br />that Dan Motlv member of the CommissionD had resigned. <br /> <br />File 64=229 - Zoning variance Pacific Mutual Ooorv property located at Fairview and <br />County Road C <br /> <br />Mr. Robinsonv attorney representing the applicant, and Mro Herman, Vice President of <br />Pacific Mutualv stated that a building 100 x SOO will be constructed on this narrow <br />strip of land along the Northern Pacific Railway tracks. The building will have <br />55vOOO square feet of warehouse space and S,OOO square feet of office space. They will <br />employ 25 to 35 employeeso Anderson moved, Soike seconded. that we recommend the grant= <br />ing of a sideyard setback variance and that the floor area ratio be approvedD but to be <br />not less than 04750 Carried by a unanimous vote of the members presente Nelson, <br />Chairmanv who was absent at the beginning of the meeting did not voteo <br /> <br />File 64=225 = Rezoning Chandler=Wilbert Vault, 2280 North Hamlineo <br /> <br />Mr. . W 0 Chandler requested this rezoning because the State Highway Department may <br />need some of his property to improve the intersection of Hamline and Highway #360 He <br />stated he had no definite plans at present for the property he wishes to get rezoned. <br />There was considerable opposition from the property owners wi thin 250 feet 0 They were <br />Beising, William Turcotte, Arthur Hosby and Pondv who spoke for the group. It was <br />suggested that Mr. Chandler meet with Mro Dahlgren on any Thursday morning to work out <br />a proposal of land use. Membrez moved, Soike seconded, that the request be laid over <br />to the next regular meeting to give an opportunity to Mr. Chandler to come up with some- <br />thing more definite. Carried by a unanimous voteo <br /> <br />File 64=221 = Arrow Tank & Engineering's request for rezoning approximately 9=1/2 acres <br />of land at the southeast corner of Cleveland Avenue and County Road C. This request <br />was on the agenda of our meeting of September 2, but no one appeared to speak for this <br />change of zoningo It was then postponed to this meeting, resulting in the same situation. <br />No one appearedo Membrez reported he had heard the petitioner lost interest, therefore, <br />Membrez movedv Soike secondedv that we recommend to the Council that the request be <br />denied. Carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />File 64= 190 = Sheehy Rezoning '" Lexington and County Road "0" <br /> <br />Mr. Lien appeared for the applicant D however D it was suggested as a courtesy to the <br />County to hold action on this until a final report is submitted by the County. It was <br />unanimously agreed to lay the matter over to the next meeting of November 4the <br /> <br />File 64-222 = Division of Lot = Me We Maynard, 705 We Roselawnc <br /> <br />This matter had been considered at a prior meeting with certain conditions and <br />MrsoMaynard requested some time to discuss these con~itions with her attorney. <br />
