To obtain from the State or County an access from Cleveland Avenue. <br /> <br />No approval from the County for access off railroad property was obtained. <br />Applicant proposed access but no egress from Cleveland Avenue. This produces <br />a very poor traffic situation for motel purposes. <br /> <br />2. To secure from the Northern Pacific Railway a lease for not less than 25 years <br />for the use of the land owned by the railroad for additional parking. <br /> <br />No lease other tnan an indefinite lease cancellable at 90 days notice was <br />obtained. Without a definite lease from the railroad the parking is totally <br />in adequa te . <br /> <br />3. To have proper access from County Road C. <br /> <br />Access approved by State but for west to east movements only (one way divided <br />road at County Road C). <br /> <br />File 65-294 - Request to move a house to the northeast corner of Woodlyn and Woodbridge <br />by Gordon R. Larson. <br /> <br />The fact that the moving of this house meets all the requirements of our subdivision <br />regulations, Anderson moved, L. A. Nelson seconded, we recommend that the request be <br />granted. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />File 65-293 - Request for a variance by Kraus-Anderson for the development of the <br />property at 1731 Rice Street. After bringing to the attention of the petitioner <br />represented by Mr. Knott, attorney, that there might be a drainage problem in this <br />area which may have to be corrected Anderson moved, Linebarger seconded, we recommend <br />that the following variances be allowed: <br /> <br />I. Variance to the required amount of parking space from 212 to 189 spaces <br />2. A variance of 10 feet on the setback to the parking area from the street <br />to be S feet instead of the required IS feet. <br /> <br />Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />File 65-292 - Vacation of Chandler Street between Glenwood and Wagner Place requested <br />by Eugene Auck. <br /> <br />This matter was considered quite thoroughly. Mr. Auck was asked if the planning of <br />his new home could be accomplished adequately if the Village would agree to give him <br />a variance of 15 fe~t instead of 30 feet for side yard setback (corner lot) rather <br />than vacate the 30 feet now dedicated for a future extension of Chandler Avenue to the <br />south. He didn't believe he could do it and he further stated that if the vacation was <br />not granted he will sell the lot and look for another site. <br /> <br />L. A. Nelson moved, Linebarger seconded, to recommend that the request be denied. <br />Roll Call, unanimous. <br />
