<br />Regular Meeting~ Roseville Planning Commission <br />Wednesday, February 2, 1966 <br />7: 30 Po M. <br /> <br />Members present: Jim Nelson, Remsburg, Linebarger, Anderson, Carpenter and Membrez. <br /> <br />On motion by Remsburg, seconded by Carpenter, the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />January 5, 1966, were approved as submitted by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Even though the ~leehy rezoning matter was not on the agenda, Chairman Nelson permitted <br />attorney Chestnut to speak on behalf of the residents in the area of County Road D and <br />Lexington Avenue. These homeowners are opposed to the rezoning as indicated on several <br />occasions at prior meetings. <br /> <br />After due consideration, the Planning Commission agreed unanimously to re-affirm our <br />position in recommending to the Village Council on October 8, 1965, that the rezoning <br />be denied. It was the feeling that if the owner of the land chooses to pursue the <br />possibility of the Ramsey County Board acquiring this property to enlarge the Lake <br />Jose9hine Beach, he should do so on his own 0 <br /> <br />File 271-65 - Ferdinand Bucher special use permit and approval of a preliminary plat. <br />The applicant through his attorney Daubney, requested that this matter be laid over <br />to our next regular meeting on March 2, 1966. Nelson moved, Remsburg seconded, to lay <br />the request over to our next regular meetingo Roll call, unanimouso <br /> <br />File 308-66 - Request for vacation of alley by L~Z Manfacturing Company, 1881 North <br />Rice Streeto Membrez moved, Carpenter seconded, to recommend that the request to <br />vacate this alley which is now unused, running north and south on a block bounded on <br />the north by McCarron Street, the east by Rice Street, the south by Center Street and <br />the west by Wagner Place, be granted subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />10 That the Village of Roseville maintain the right to enter upon subject <br />twenty (20) foot alley for the purpose of maintaining and operating the <br />sewer main, pipes and appurtenances now located or to be located upon said <br />alleyo <br /> <br />2. The Village shall retain perpetual right to maintain, operate, and repair <br />underground sewer mains, pipes, and appurtenances now or to be located across <br />subject twenty (20) foot alley in its entirety with a perpetual right of ingress <br />and egresso <br /> <br />3. That no permanent buildings be permitted to be constructed within subject <br />twenty (20) foot alley at any point between Center Street and McCarron Streeto <br /> <br />4. That owners of adjacent land shall have the right to construct fences or plant <br />shrubbery or erect temporary or portable buildings in the alleyway except that <br />these items shall be removed if accessory for access to the sewer for repair, <br />operation, or maintenance at no cost to the Village of Roseville~ <br /> <br />be granted.
