Driveways <br /> <br />It was suggested that some of the variance requests were unreasonable and the applicant <br />was instructed to consult our Planner Dahlgren to work out something more acceptable. <br />Remsburg moved, Membrez seconded, to lay the matter over to the next meeting to give <br />the petitioner an opportunity to revise his proposed planso Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />File 307-66 Rezoning request by Roberts Construction Company from R-I to R-3, <br />222 North McCarrons Boulevardo <br /> <br />The opportion from residents in the area was very strong, basically the objections <br />were: traffic, noise, drainage~ depreciating their properties, additional school <br />children, etco Mr. Daubney representing the owner submitted for viewing a development <br />plan containing two buildings with 36-one bedroom unit in each building, the rentals <br />to be $115.00 to $140000 monthlyo Dahlgren suggested that a better plan for this pro- <br />perty could be developedo After due consideration, Linebarger moved, Anderson seconded <br />to lay the matter over for another month to give the petitioner an opportunity to <br />consult with Dahlgreno Roll Call, Ayes (5) ~ Nays (1), Jim Nelsono <br /> <br />File 310-66 - Ban-Con, Inco Preliminary Plat Western Hills Addition #20 There being <br />no one present to present this plat, Nelson moved, Remsburg seconded, to layover the <br />request until the next regular meeting March 2nd. Roll call = unanimouso <br /> <br />File 77 - Upgrading apartment buildings in the Village and the desirability of adopting <br />a Housing Codeo <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren handed out two reports on these matters to each member of the Planning <br />Commission and he suggested that each of us read them and to come prepared to discuss <br />both reports at a special meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday, February 9, 1966, <br />at 7: 00 P. M. <br /> <br />Proposed Highway Plans = Highway 36 and 35W west of Cleveland Avenueo <br /> <br />This matter had been heard at a special meeting held on January 26. Engineer Odland <br />suggested that a recommendation to the Village Council be made, therefore, Anderson <br />moved, Jim Nelson seconded, that the preliminary plans be acceptedo Roll Call, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (I), Carpentero <br /> <br />Anderson also moved, Carpenter seconded, that every precaution be taken by the Highway <br />Department to reduce the truck traffic along the front of the residences on Highway 36 <br />from Cleveland going west to Fulham Streeto Roll Call, unanimous 0 <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjournedo <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />George A.
