<br />Regular Meeting, Roseville Planning Commission <br />Wednesday, August 3, 1966 - 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: Linebarger, Carpenter, Remsburg, Nelson, Pope, Anderson <br />and ~Iembrez. Also present: Grauel, Trusteel Odland, Engineer and Dahlgren, <br />Planner. <br /> <br />Remsburg Moved, Carpenter Seconded to approve the minutes of the special <br />meeting of July 21, as submitted. Roll Call unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject: File 271-65 - Ferdinand Bucher, special use permit to remove 50,000 <br />yards of gravel <br /> <br />Mr. Daubney again requested this permit on behalf of his client, Ferdinand Bucher. <br />Several such requests had been made before. A large number of citizens attended <br />the meeting in opposit~on of granting this request. They submitted a signed <br />petition against this; pointing out the safety, health, dust and wear and tear06f <br />the streets as the main factors to deny the granting the special use permit. It <br />\Vas finally suggested that the owner of the land should be given some consider- <br />ation in his efforts to develop his property and that the amount of gravel to be <br />removed to be reduced to 10,000 yards. Remsburg moved, Nelson seconded, to <br />recommend to issue a special use permit to remove 10,000 ~ards under the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br /> <br />1. The removal to be done from November 1, 1966 to the <br />time the winter road restrictions are lifted. <br />2. The hauling to be done Mondays through Fridays, between <br />the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. <br />3. The complete removal of 10,000 yards to be completed by <br />~1ay 1, 1967. <br />4. A grading plan to be prepared by the applicant and approved <br />by the Public Works Department. <br />Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />File 325-66 - Request for a sign variance by Imperial Investors, <br />(Bonanza Restaurant). <br /> <br />There being no one present for the second time to explain why this variance was <br />needed, Nelson moved, Anderson seconded to recommend to deny this request. <br />Roll Call, unanimous. <br /> <br />File 338-66 - Setback variance request by St. Rose of Lima Church <br />on Hamline Avenue and Eldridge Street. <br /> <br />TI1e plans of the building were presented by their architect and the fact that <br />the work of construction had already begun, Nelson moved, Remsburg seconded to <br />recommend the granting of this variance. Roll Call, (6) - Abstaining (1), Pope. <br />
