Hecl"el and Ferry" variances in setback
for garages at 2723~ 2729~ 27359 2743 and 2749 North Griggso

rv!r. Ettel pointed out that when they built their houses the side yard setback was 59
and that most of their neighbors have garages wi thin 59 of their property lines. He
cannot put the garage further back because they have walkout basements~ unless they
were put on stilts. There w0uld be room for a one car garage. Because it was felt
that the Vil~la1!e would benefit by the two car garage (one more car off the streets)
and that it would create a hardship if-the request were denied~ it was moved by Pope
and seconded by Remsburg that we recommend approval of this sideyard variance of 59.
Roll call~ unanimous.

Subject File 361-66
West County Road E.

George Guligowski~ variance in setback requirements at 1330

~!ro Bob Chifsky spoke for the petltJ.oner. He requested that he be allowed to put up
a sign 5 feF.:t from the side yard line (Ordinance calls for 20 feet) and 1 foot (Ordinance
calls for 30 feet) from the south right-of=way line of County Road B. He stated that
there is a tree that would block the vie\v if the sign were put back much further. There
\Vas considerable discussion among the Planning Commission members as to allowing this
variance at a corner where all the signs conform to the ordinance. Also~ we would like
to know ho\v he is going to handle his 5creening~ take care of the trash in the rear~
and see a layout of his parkingo Therefore ~ it was moved by Remsburg and seconded by
Pope that we lay this request over until our next regular meeting so that Mr. George
Guligowski could provide us with the answers. Roll Call" unanimous.

Subject File 366-66.
