Remsburg and Pope. <br />Absent: Membrez and Nelson. Also present Goldberg. Grauel and Dahlgren. <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Pope that we accept the minutes of <br />the meeting of August 2, 1967 as submitted. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 265-66 - Angelo Carbone - Special Use for amended development plan <br />on site west of Hamline, across from Oakcrest. <br /> <br />Since Northern States Power would not be taking any of the property on the south <br />side of this development, it was moved by Pope and seconded by Carpenter that we <br />recommend approval of the amended development plan that allows garages on the 80' <br />as per plan dated June 16, 1967 and dated September 6, 1967 by the secretary. <br />Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 399-67 - Helerud and Bentley request for rezoning from "R-l" to <br />"R-3A" and "R-6" and Special Use Permit for Planned Unit Development at 500 Highway <br />36 and 499 West County Road B. <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney represented Mr. Raymond L. Nowicki and stated the following about <br />this development. There would be 198 apartment units in 11 buildings and 24 town- <br />houses in 3 groups. The apartments would be for adults only with 50% one bedroom <br />and 50% two bedroom and rent for $160 - $170 per month. They would develop about <br />2 buildings per year and would have basement parking in all but the first two <br />buH dings. <br /> <br />The following people spoke: <br /> <br />Ed Heitman - 536 West Highway 36 <br />Mike Schuartz - 165 West McCarrons Blvd. <br />Mr. Zeckbauer - 488 West County Road B <br />Mrs. Paco <br />Mr. Schwartz <br />Mr. John Taylor - 527 W. Ryan Avenue <br />Ed Bossard.. 1738 W. Skillman <br /> <br />The following areas were covered: The width of Sandhurst - 60', snow plowing on the <br />cul-de-sac, maximum grade of 6%, outdoor clothes drying, water on loop feed for the <br />apartments, storm sewer not installed yet, drainage problem, setbacks, would the whole <br />plan go in, and junk around the existing apartments. It was then moved by Remsburg <br />and seconded by Anderson that we recommend denial of the rezoning. Roll Call, <br />Ayes (4) - Nays (1) - Mr. Pope opposed. <br /> <br />Subject File 400-67 - Rosevi1le Funeral Home - Special Use Permit, Snelling and <br />County Road C-2. <br /> <br />After some discussion and at the request of Mr. McCubrey of the State Highway Depart- <br />ment it was moved by Pope and seconded by Carpenter that we lay this matter over for <br />one month. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 401-67 - Request of Shakee Pizza, Inc. for rezoning from B-2 to B-3 <br />of property located at County Road C-2 and Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />At the request of Mr. McCubrey it was moved by Anderson and seconded by Remsburg <br />that we lay this over for one month. Roll Call, unanimous. <br />
