<br />Regular Meeting Roseville Plannin[Y Commission <br />Wednesday, January 3, 1968 - 7:30 P,?,!, <br /> <br />Members Present: Membrez, Anderson, Carpenter and Remsburg, <br />Absent: Nelson and Pope. Also present: Dahlgren and Goldberg, <br /> <br />It was moved by Remsburg and seconded by Carpenter that we accept the minutes <br />of the meeting of December 6, 1967, as submitted. Roll Call: unanimous, <br /> <br />Subject File 376-67 <br /> <br />State of Minnesota interchange plans - County Road C, <br />County Road C-2 and Snelling Avenue, <br /> <br />Mr. R. J. McDonald, Assistant District Engineer for the State of Minnesota <br />discussed the moving of the County Road C-2 crossinP- of Snelling Avenue to the <br />south so that C-2 extended to the \Vest would be south of the park property. This <br />seemed to meet with the approval of the commission and the people present. The <br />State would bring a plan that they would approve to the next Planning Commission <br />meeting. After discussing the County Road C it was moved by Carpenter and <br />seconded by Anderson that the Highway Department give serious consideration to the <br />relocating of Snelling Avenue to a straight line instead of bending it to the west. <br />Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 400-67 <br />- <br /> <br />Roseville Funeral Home - Special Use Permit at County Road C-2 <br />and Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and Seconded by Remsburg that we lay this over until our <br />next Planning Commission meeting. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject File 406-67 <br /> <br />Long - request for rezoning at 2239 St. Stephens Street from <br />R-l to R-2. <br /> <br />More information was requested concerning the construction and type of double <br />bungelow to be put here so Remsburg moved and Carpenter seconded that we lay this <br />over until our next meeting. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />~ubje~t File 413-67 - Roberts Construction Company - rezoning request from R-l to <br />R-3 at 1750 Marion Street. <br /> <br />At the request of the petitioner it was moved by Anderson and seconded by Carpenter <br />that we lay this over until our next meeting. Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />Subject Fil~ jl4-67 Holcombe - request for special use permit for funeral home at <br />2224 North Albert Street. <br /> <br />The architect for Mr. Holcombe presented a plat plan that showed more than the one <br />presented in December. This one showed the handling of the traffic and the cuts in <br />the curb. It showed the handling of the water and the amount of parking, etc. <br />Mr. Robert Blumberg still opposed this special use on the same grounds as in the <br />previous hearing. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Carpenter that we re- <br />commend approval of the request for special use permit for a funeral home at 2224 <br />North Albert Street. Roll Call: Ayes (3) - Nays (I), Remsburg opposing. <br /> <br />Subject File 418-67 <br /> <br />L & Z Hanufacturing rezoning request from R-l to B-3 at <br />1881 North Rice Street. <br /> <br />Subject applicant requested this rezoning so that he could keep a dirt ramp on this <br />property for unloading his heavy equipment. He stated that he was being cramped for <br />space. Mr. John Freedman from the Ramsey County Recreation Board stated that the <br />
